Close to the mountains, coast and in between Seattle and Portland. This historical building is the town's original confectionery (sweet foods and candy store). It is one of the oldest standing buildings in the city and was built at a time when cowboys were on horseback and steam locomotives were an everyday sight. Back then you could still gets a bag of candy for a penny. Back in the day, Vader was the biggest city between Tacoma and Portland! Now it’s a quiet little town of 600 people. While we have a couple beautiful parks, an old city jail, cafe, bar, and coffee shop, there isn’t much else, it’s a nice stop on your way somewhere else. But we have many things to keep you busy without even having to leave the Airbnb! When we purchased the building in 2023 we felt the space needed its former grit and soul back so we turned what was once the store front into an old west saloon. No saloon is complete without a carved wood bar and poker/card tables. Try your hand on one of two game tables featuring poker (with poker chips), chess and other games , a bar area, an authentic antique player piano (you are welcome to play), vintage wind up phonograph (record player) with records, many historical artifacts that we have scoured the Pacific NW to find, and so much more! There are fun and interesting surprises located throughout the home. For added fun take a selfie in the jail! Look for clues related to Doctor Who hidden in plain sight through the home, and be sure to go inside the TARDIS to play some arcade games in outer space. It's bigger on the inside. This building has 3 bedrooms, 4 beds, (plus 1 single rollaway bed,) 2.5 bathrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry, arcade room (no quarters needed), saloon, an old Wild West Jail, a private outdoor patio area with string lights, a picnic table, rocking chairs, propane fire pit, other bench seating and a hot tub.
