On a 270 hectare farm with lots of walks and mountain bike options (provide own bike or ask so that I can hire one for you). 3 bedrooms. The main bedroom is en-suite with a king or twin bed (s), bathroom with bath and separate private toilet. The 2nd bedroom is the room with a view, with double bed and built-in vanity. The 3rd bedroom has two single beds. Bedroom 2 and 3 share a full bathroom (bath and separate shower) and separate toilet. All rooms have built-in cupboards. An extra space in-between the two bedrooms host another single bed and small desk (workspace). The kitchen is fully equipped with a 4 plate gas stove, electric oven, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and all crockery, cutlery and glasses. There is a separate scullery with deep basin, double basins, dishwasher and washing machine (provide own soap). The lounge has two comfortable couches and a smart tv with most popular dtsv channels, including sport. A fireplace will keep you cosy in winter and there is wifi through-out the house. The outside area has a private pool with stunning views, shaded seating, bbq and pool loungers. A large patio is located to the front of the house with seating for 8, a daybed, a bench and more exquisite views. A meditation bench and pond with views, is located underneath the house. The house has ample open and shaded parking (2). Quality linen and bath towels supplied. Pool towels, rechargeable lights, candles (loadshedding). Fans, heaters, extra blankets. Coffee, tea, sugar, milk and rusks on arrival only. Salt, pepper and oil. Guest access Guests have full access to all areas on the property, at their own risk. Directly from the estate, mountain biking on various routes and to the Harkerville routes close (own bike), as well as hiking routes, private splash pool, bird life. Within 5kms - quad biking, Packwood wine and cheese tasting/lunch. Within 15 kms - Adventureland Waterslides, Knysna Ziplines, Knysna Elephant Park, Wolf Sanctuary, Luka Winery, Elephant walk road stall, Sasol Garage/convenience store, Garden Route meat market and fresh produce/groceries. Within 25kms, towards and around Knysna and Plettenberg Bay - blue flag beaches, quality restaurants and shops, lagoons, estuary, water sports, forests, The Heath. Other things to note We are in nature, so you might encounter insects and other small animals or buck (like bushbuck). We do have the occasional baboons or monkeys passing through. We provide bug spray if required. Very little mosquitoes and they are malaria free. Wear sunscreen and a hat in summer when you go walking and drink lots of water! We 2 cats that live at our house, but they won't bother you at all (2kms away). Highly advisable to arrive before dark, as farm roads don't have lights at night (6pm in winter and 8pm in summer). The roads are very safe to travel any time of day, nevertheless. We might have power failures due to the electricity supply company (Eskom) cutting the power for a period of time (called load shedding - usually 2 - 4 hours per day, different times each day. This happens in the whole of South Africa). Sometimes in very bad weather and wind, power might also be off due to cables getting damaged. Rechargable lamps, candles and parafien lamps provided. Gas stove for cooking (Bitou Valley Cottage) and gas burners in central kitchen at the s/c units. Fireplaces in the dining and lounge area of the s/c units. Bitou Valley Cottage also has fireplace. Water is free run, so the water supply is not interrupted.
