We are Rudi and Happy, owners of Villa Norway in Yogyakarta. The villa is a blend of Norwegian modern style and Indonesian tropical atmosphere, located in rural and relaxing rice fields and tropical forest with great and private views with one private large swimming pool. Located only 45 minutes drive into town. 20 minutes to Wates train station 40 minutes to Yogyakarta International Airport 45 minutes to the center of Yogyakarta 50 minutes to Borobudur temple 60 minutes to Merapi The space Villa Norway is a modern villa of 160 m², completed in 2023, and offers a perfect combination of comfort and luxury. The house is located at the top of the plot and has a large parking space. The villa has 3 bedrooms with air conditioning, private wardrobes, and private bathrooms with hot showers. Good WiFi coverage is available both inside and outside. Bedroom 1: This is the largest room, with a small office/dressing table, bathtub, and direct exit to the garden with a magnificent view of the rice fields. Bedroom 2: This room also has direct access to the garden with a fantastic view of the rice fields. Bedroom 3: A family room with space for a large family, consisting of a double bed and a large double bunk bed. We offer a high chair, crib and toys if needed at no extra cost. The bedrooms are well separated with doors between the hallway, kitchen and living room, which provides good noise insulation and comfort for all guests. The villa has a modern and fully equipped kitchen with all necessary amenities, including microwave and dishwasher, as well as a large dining area for several guests. The living room is a combination of modern and traditional style with local art, and offers a comfortable sofa, large Android TV with satellite, and sound system. Cleaning: During your stay, our housekeeper will be present to ensure that the villa is kept clean and inviting, so you can relax and enjoy your time here without worries. Additional services To make your stay even more enjoyable, we offer a range of additional services for an extra fee. This includes car and scooter rental, massage services, and much more. Please contact us to arrange these services in advance or during your stay. Outdoor facilities From the living room you have a great view of the outdoor area and the rice fields, and you can walk directly down the stairs to the garden. The garden is 1500 m² and contains an infinity pool of 15 x 4 meters with a depth of 1.4 meters. From the pool you can really relax with a 180-degree view of the rice fields, the forest, and the mountains in the background – a quiet and peaceful area that is rare in a city like this. Next to the pool there are 6 sunbeds and 1 large daybed for relaxation. There is also a terrace with 2 tables and 8 chairs, perfect for enjoying meals, barbecue, or just having a cup of coffee and admiring the view. In addition, there is an outdoor lounge with sofa and chairs for at least 8 people, under a roof with a ceiling fan. Here you can enjoy the evenings together. The lounge also has a fridge, sink and a private guest toilet. Private Events: We allow private events in the villa, but it is important to contact us in advance to agree on further details and conditions. Guest access Our staff are on site to help you as needed and for daily cleaning and services. Guests have access to the entire property except for one smaller building where employees live. There is a separate laundry room with its own entrance in the main building which is only for the use of the staff. There will be no other guests during your entire stay. Other things to note This is a quiet retreat in rural surroundings, but private and an experience of being in a hotel. A perfect choice if you want to get away from the noise of the city to find peace. Public transport is poor all the way to the villa, and therefore it is recommended that guests use transport services such as Grab or Gojek, come by their own car or rent a car with a driver (we can arrange it). There are many local and some modern restaurants in Wates and Nanggulan 15-20 min from the villa. Or just enjoy the villa and order food delivery from one of the Indonesian food delivery apps. Kiosks are nearby, but if you want to buy food such as meat, vegetables and dairy products, it is best to go to the Supermarkets in Yogyakarta city center (45 min from the villa). Please be quiet in the outdoor area after 11 pm, because it is located in a traditional village in Yogyakarta. The safety of children in the swimming pool and all areas, especially the staircase area outside, is your own responsibility. Smoking is not allowed inside. Smoking should be done outside and must be disposed of properly. Number limit for guests and visitors! Please note that the number of guests in the reservation cannot be exceeded unless otherwise agreed. This applies regardless of whether someone only plans to be present during the day. All visitors, both overnight and day guests, must be included in the total number stated in the reservation. If more people than originally reserved are to stay at the property, this can be arranged for an additional fee. Please contact us well in advance of check-in to confirm the change. We can also arrange for daytime events if desired, but such use must be agreed upon in advance.
