Highermead House is located on a quiet road, 2 minutes walk from the main town, Camelford. Its very quiet & peaceful, surrounded by farm land. Perfect for those working away from home or visitors hoping to explore Cornwall. Serviced rooms offer a home from home experience, recently renovated to a high standard, comfortable furnishing ( contemporary & vintage) and practical amenities. Location: we are close to Bodmin Moor and the coast - Tintagel, Wadebridge, Bude, Port Isaac & Boscastle. The space Highermead House has been many things since it was built in the early 1900’s, a gentleman’s residence, hotel, local nightclub and more recently a residential care home for the elderly. Since purchasing the property in April 2023 we have been renovating the property back to its former glory and reinstating comfortable rooms to offer overnight accommodation for contractors, people working away from home and those wishing to explore the beautiful local area. Many areas are still having works completed, which will take many months, however, noisy building works are limited to 10am to 4pm. The bedrooms and guest areas e.g. lounge and breakfast room offer a comfortable and restful space to unwind and relax. Guest access There is a main guest entrance at the front of the property. From here you will walk through the communal guest lounge where you are welcome to sit and relax, eat or play board games. From here you can access your bedroom just down the communal hallway. Other things to note As we only purchased the property in April 2023 and there being a need for extensive renovations to take place many areas are still inaccessible to guests, however, the areas that guests have access to are complete: guest lounge, entrance hallway corridors and of course the relevant bedrooms.
