Description

Nestled in the backwoods of Amish country, the Lazy 8 is a historic farmhouse on a peaceful estate with all the accommodations of country living. Constructed in the mid 1800’s, the Lazy 8 was remodeled in 1973. The core was renovated and wings were added onto both sides. In 2023 the property was completely renovated with modern materials, updated technology and added unique touches. Enjoy the comforts of modern day living with the peace and serenity of the country ambience. The space Although grand with all its rooms, the Lazy 8 is quaint with its use of space. You may find the occasional lower ceiling, narrow doorway, or steeper than usual steps. Characteristics common in traditional farmhouses. There are accommodations for up to 14 people with its 6 themed bedrooms accompanied by 4 bathrooms that span the upper and ground levels of the 3-story farmhouse. The kitchen has the necessary accommodations to prepare family meals, including an electric stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, double ovens, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and fully supplied kitchen cabinets. The dining room can accommodate your family of 10 with overflow seating for 6 in the breakfast nook. You’ll enjoy the peace and quiet as you relax in the sunroom overlooking the horses in the pasture with the rolling countryside as a backdrop. The lower level has an entertainment area with a bar, poker table and living room space for movie night. The adjacent game room includes foosball, ping pong, a multicade and other games. Outdoor living spaces include a front porch, rear porch, and campfire area. We encourage you to explore the acres of property where you will find a cold cellar, wishing well and some farm animals to talk to. You can also enjoy the beauty of the barn and rolling pastures but there is not admittance to them. Other accommodations include an entrance lobby, laundry room, office, and garage space used to store additional outdoor seating, yard games, BBQ grill, trash/recycling containers and other accommodations. A whole house, on demand backup generator, Roku TVs (including local programming), central air and Starlink internet also included. Guest access Enjoy everything the farmhouse has to offer and explore its rolling acres. Relax with your morning coffee on the balcony, porches or sunroom. Kick back in the evenings under the stars around the fire pit.
