The house in the bush

We offer our former family home in the true original spirit of Air BnB. Our house is not a hotel but we are confident it has everything you need to enjoy a true hospitable Australian experience. Situated at the end of a quiet cul de sac, this home in the bush is the perfect spot from which to enjoy local attractions such as The Territory Wildlife Park, jumping crocodile cruise, Litchfield National Park, Fogg Dam, Mary River Park and is just a two hour drive from Kakadu, or 40 minutes to Darwin. The space Please note that there may be other residents in separate buildings on this bush block however the house is all yours. There is a private sitting area on one side of the house while the pool area is shared. The two bedroom house which can be air conditioned has a fully equipped kitchen and a comfortable lounge area with tv. One room has a queen bed and the other has twin beds but these can be pushed together to create a king bed if required. The huge bathroom has a spa bath. All linen and towels are provided. In true Aussie style, there is also an outdoor kitchen on which you can barbecue or prepare dinner and an outside seating area where you can relax with a cool drink at the end of the day. Don’t be suprised if you are visited by wallabies, bandicoots or possums, they will be afraid of you but you can enjoy watching them if you are quiet. Guest access If you’d like to cool off, you can enjoy the plunge pool and Bali style gazebo at any time. The pool is a shared space with the gentleman who lives in a separate dwelling but you are likely to have it all to yourself. Feel free to take a walk in the bush at the rear of the property. You will see a huge mound built by the native scrub fowls which you may see around the house busily unraking the garden. Watch out for the huge variety of birds including the rainbow pita which usually lives in rainforest environments so we are delighted to have them on our property Other things to note Please note that the pool is unfenced so the property is unsuitable for families with small children.
