Located in the scenic and quiet residential suburb of Rosny, Hesket Guesthouse is a 6 minute drive from Hobart city and 15 minutes from Hobart airport. Architecturally designed and featuring a private balcony with fabulous views of the River Derwent, this beautiful guesthouse is perfect for relaxing, but close enough to enjoy all Hobart has to offer. Private courtyard with parking for two cars. Access via external stairs.. The space Hesket Court is accessed from Rosny Esplanade. To access Hesket Guesthouse, enter the driveway of the main house and follow the stone driveway to the private courtyard parking area. When you walk up the stairs to the front balcony you are greeted with a magnificent view of the River Derwent, Tasman Bridge, Government House and Hobart's beautiful kunanyi (Mount Wellington). Perfectly private, this is a great spot to relax on the comfortable outdoor seating and soak up the sunshine (when it's out, this is Tassie after all 🤣). The sliding entry door opens wide to allow the indoor/outdoor feel, and as you enter you will notice the beautiful polished floors, comfortable corner lounge and 55 inch smart TV with complementary Netflix (as well as free-to-air channels and apps such as iView, YouTube and SBS on demand). Free wifi with high-speed, unlimited broadband means you can stream and surf to your heart's content. Feel free to kick your shoes off, grab a complementary snack from the fridge and snuggle up as you watch your favourite programs. If cooking is your thing, the full kitchen and outdoor BBQ should provide everything you need. There is a Nespresso machine for those coffee addicts out there (full disclosure - I'm one). Dining space is adaptable inside to suit up to four people. If you need to launder your clothing or freshen up your towels - no problem, Hesket Guesthouse has a full laundry with Electrolux's Ultimate Care appliances. Environmentally friendly, low-allergen and fragrance-free washing sheets are provided. Hesket Guesthouse has two bedrooms with queen size beds, ample wardrobe storage and a dedicated work space in each. Eva medium-firm mattresses and Eva memory foam pillows will provide you with the support you need for a great night’s sleep. Bed linens contain high amounts of cotton, and laundering products utilised are low allergen, fragrance free and environmentally friendly. One lovely bathroom with plenty of hot water and complementary toiletries completes the facilities. Guest toiletries are from Vibe - Recharge and are vegan, cruelty free and have environmentally responsible product packaging. Some consumables to get you started are provided. These include a few rolls of toilet paper, tissues, hand wash, toiletries (usually enough for two days), laundry sheets and dishwasher tablets. In the kitchen you will find coffee pods, tea bags, sugar sachets, long life milk, olive oil, salt and pepper, foil and baking paper - and a couple of little surprises in the fridge 😀. We are striving to reduce our environmental impact and have implemented thinner towels to reduce energy use, environmentally friendlier products, and a reduction in single use plastics. The nights can be quite cold in Hobart in the cooler months - please let us know when you book if you would like your bed made up with flannelette sheets. Guest access Guests have access to the entire guesthouse. Other things to note Safety considerations for you to note please. There are internal and external stairs which have hand rails only. There are no stair barriers. The front balcony is high. These features may not be appropriate for some individuals or for children.
