This beautiful and spacious one bedroom plus den English basement apartment is located only a 15min drive from downtown DC. Columbia Heights and Petworth Metro stations are an easy 15 min walk and it’s a 5min walk to 3 bus stops. Easy access to local restaurants and grocery/convenience stores. Near Howard university, Children’s hospital, and Washington Hospital Center. Street parking available. Stay here and you can drop your bags, head out exploring, and then come back to rest in comfort. The space This apartment is not easily walkable to Downtown but it is a convenient 15 mins car ride to/from downtown. Children must be 10years or older Enter the apartment easily through your own private street entrance using a keypad. You'll have 650sq ft of space to relax in. The apartment is equipped with a full kitchen, laundry area with washer/dryer and ironing station, one bedroom, a den, one bathroom, living room with smart TV, and a dining area that seats 4. The bedroom has a queen bed and there is a queen sized murphy bed in the den. If there are more than 2 guests I will automatically set up the murphy bed for you. If you have 2 guests and need the Murphy bed please let me know so I can set it up for you. ( To avoid possible injury or damage to the bed, please do not pull out the murphy bed on your own.) The bathroom has a shower with a seamless spa-like floor. Each main area (bedroom, living room/kitchen /dining, and den) has a mini split heating/cooling system so temperature can be adjusted separately using the provided controls. Please keep in mind that this is an apartment in the City and it is located in the basement of a townhouse with people living above and beside the apartment. We have put in much effort to insulate the space but you may occasionally hear a muffled conversation from above or beside you, or possible noise from passing cars or people walking on the street. Guest access -Keyless entry with key pad for easy check-in and access. -The neighborhood is walkable with multiple transit options. -There is limited free street parking and there are some paid parking garages. -If you plan to have a car while in town please let me know so I can get you a parking pass for street parking. Other things to note This apartment is in a residential neighborhood in the city and close to a few hospitals so there may be some typical city sounds like occasional sirens, occasional loud conversation of people walking down the street. Minimum guest age is 10yrs No party or event is allowed in this apartment. No open flames or smoking of any form in this apartment.
