#5 Freshwater is a ground-floor, fully air-conditioned apartment that opens onto a lovely stargazing deck and beautiful gardens. The apartment offers 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. From the patio, you have views of the ocean, and in a few steps, you can be on the beach, enjoying the white sands between your toes and having a casual swim in the cool, calm Caribbean waters. A short walk up the beach, you can also enjoy our local hot tub called the HOT POT. The space Freshwater Bay is one of the best kept secrets on the island. Your journey begins when you take that turn off of the Spring Garden Highway onto a private road. Your first view is the large Light and Power station, however as you start to wonder if you have made the right decision booking this apartment, you round the first corner where you find a small fishing village with men attending to their boats and roaming chickens casually going about their daily routine. As your concerns heighten about this location, Freshwater Bay sign emerges on your left. Upon opening the wooden gate to the facility your breath is immediately taken away by the beauty of this place. The vibrant colourful flowers and tropical fauna that line the small pathway towards the lush gardens sprinkled with coconut trees welcome you in. Meandering down the short pathway the beauty of the stunning calm ocean boasts of hundreds of shades of blue is just steps away. Now surrounded by the tropical garden you are enticed to sit under the shaded palm trees to read, lay into the loungers and sun bath or sit in the Gazebo and watch the cruise ships or the local fishing and sail boats pass lazily by. However before you get lost in just what to do first you have to get settled. #5 is on the ground floor FULLY AIR-CONDITIONED apartment. The main entry opens into a spacious lounge area with a bar and a small freezer, and a smart TV is the ideal place for relaxing or entertaining. The enclosed patio and extended sunbathing deck are all ocean-facing to enjoy the views from every angle. Adjacent to the living room is the kitchen, which is fully outfitted with a stove, fridge, microwave and various cooking utensils. Down the short corridor is the first bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a shower. This room has two single beds and good cupboard space. Of course, you really only need bathing suits at Freshwater Bay. At the end of the corridor is a Jack and Jill bathroom with a shower that is also used by the large master bedroom that has ample cupboards. The master has a large California king-size four-poster bed. The third bedroom is entered through the master and also has its own shower and bathroom. In addition, this room has its private entrance to the car park. Outfitted with a double bed, this room also has spacious cupboards. Note our smart TV does not have cable, but you can log into your various accounts such as Netflix, Prime, etc. For Laundry, there is a laundry building by the car park with washers and dryers. The washers are $5.00 Bds per load. You use your own detergent (It takes Bds single dollar coins). The Dryers are FREE. Now that you are all settled into your new home, we invite you to relax and begin your adventure. Walk north along the pristine beach and have a swim in the calm ocean. Walk south past the local fishing village, which will take you as far as the outer boundaries of Bridgetown. During this walk, you will encounter the local Hot Pot just outside the Light and Power plant; stop and enjoy a dip in this warm water, popular among many locals. #5 is Home away from Home, so come and enjoy and live like a Bajan. Guest access Some spaces are shared - The Garden area, Gazebo and Barbecue outside in front of the Gazebo. Coals are needed and can be purchased from any supermarket. Other things to note The power plant near the fishing village occasionally runs its generator, and you can hear a faint hum as exhaust fumes escape. However, this happens occasionally, and once inside the AC, you do not notice it.
