The space Steps from many amenities; restaurants, brewpub, theater, coffee shop and Mars Hill University. Mars Hill is an ideal location for bicyclers with its beautiful country roads leaving directly from the house. Hatley Point ski resort is near by and we are within an hour to Boone for more skiing, hiking or shopping. Asheville is about a 20 minute drive from the house offering many additional activities. The area is a biking and hiking paradise with Bailey Mountain a mile away and the Appalachian Trail and Cherokee National Forest nearby. The location also gives you great access to surrounding small towns in NC and in Tennessee. Come and enjoy small town living. Guest access You will have the whole house to yourselves. Guests are allowed to check out the green house located around back. I just ask that for the health of the plants, you do not touch anything and ensure the door is closed securely when leaving. Other things to note This is a 1925 bungalow. Enjoy a mix of old and new. A wood stove insert in fireplace helps make the room cozy and warm. The excellent shower is worth walking downstairs to the daylight basement- thermostatically controlled rain shower head and two thermostatically controlled shower jets separately controlled. Toilet- the toilet is old. Handle should be facing down. Make sure it isn’t running when leave house. Front door should remain locked- if unlocked wind will blow it open. Deadbolt needs to be engaged. It’s tight but doable. Main entrance is at side door. Notice about green house watering- every 3-4 my co-host, Fuller, will be accessing the basement water to water the greenhouse. Guests will be notified if this needs to happen during a stay. Green house- keep door closed. Feel free to look but plants are my personal collection and not for sale.
