Come and unwind at our log cabin with all the modern amenities and comfort of home! Adventure River Cabin on Heritage Oaks at the New River will have you enjoying the peaceful mountain life. Located on a secluded two-acre stretch of private land, this Appalachian style cabin boasts chinked log walls, vaulted ceiling, stone gas fireplace, hardwood floors throughout and covered porches add to the charm of this mountain log cabin. Located in the desirable Jefferson and West Jefferson area, this cabin is just a short drive away from Boone, Blowing Rock, and skiing. The cabin sleeps 8 people comfortably with 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths and a half bath. The living room hosts a comfortable leather sofa, a large flat screen Smart TV, DVD player, games and there is a half bath for guests. The kitchen is equipped with brand-new stainless-steel appliances, small appliances, and everything you would need to prep a home cooked meal. The dining room has a large dining table with seating for 6-8. The master bedroom is located on the main level with a King size bed, flat panel Smart TV, DVD player, seating area, and ceiling fan. On the second level, there is a bedroom with Queen size bed, flat panel Smart TV, DVD player, and ceiling fan. There is also a bunkroom, with a bunk bed (2 twins), flat panel Smart TV, gaming system and an array of board games. Off to the loft you’ll find an air hockey table and a reading nook. In the upstairs hallway, you’ll find the laundry closet with a brand-new washer/dryer. The cabin is stocked with board games, video game system, air hockey table, and dart games for the kids! Every bedroom is also equipped with white sheets and there are white towels in all the baths. The cabin also has Wi-Fi for all of your devices. For the tiny ones, we offer a pack N play, eating chair, and a safety gate. Please note this cabin has a steep driveway, a low riding vehicle is not suitable and 4x4 is definitely recommended in the winter months! The covered front and back porch have seating to take in the serenity of the mountain air. Relax, lay back and enjoy the hot tub while watching the sunset or after a day of adventure. There is an outdoor dining table that seats 6 to enjoy the cool summer days. Rock away on our outdoor rocker or enjoy the swing while watching the mountain views. There is also a ping pong table for some friendly competition. Or try your skills at the classic game of cornhole. Walk down the stairs to the patio area where you will find a picnic table and stone firepit for enjoying the tranquil nights, telling stories, roasting marshmallows, making s'mores and creating memories! Check in time is 4pm. Check out time is 10am. These times are set for every reservation unless permission has been given in advance. Cleanliness is our top priority so you can rest assured you’ll enjoy your vacation at Adventure River Cabin! We hot wash and bleach all our white sheets and white towels after every rental. We also do deep cleaning and disinfectant of all surfaces using antibacterial cleaning products for your safety and the safety of others. Location, Location, Location Adventure River Cabin is easily accessible and is located just off Hwy 88. There are many fun activities in and near Jefferson/West Jefferson, and there are great walking and hiking trails right there in the New River near the cabin! Nearby attraction includes, New River State Park (via Wagoner Access Road), Zaloo's Canoes, Kayaks & Tubes (including Fly Fishing), Jefferson Landing Golf Range, Horseback Riding, Museum of Ashe County History, Greenfield Campgrounds, Blue Ridge Parkway, Thistle Meadow Winery, Old Barn Winery, Shopping at Antiques on Main, and Sunrise Overlook at Mount Jefferson State Park. For peace of mind, we also have Ashe Memorial Hospital and urgent center just 10 minutes away. In addition, we are just a short drive away from Boone and Wilkesboro. Other fun things to explore include Appalachian Ski Mountain, Sugar Mountain, and Beech Mountain for snow skiing and snowboarding, ice-skating and snow tubing. Hawksnest is a snow-tubing park on Seven Devils, which also does zip line tours during warmer months. Enjoy Tweetsie Railroad theme park (seasonal), the town of Blowing Rock and the village of Valle Crucis and Grandfather Mountain are great places to explore and experience.
