Other things to note You will be asked for a security deposit via STRIPE, a secure online platform, to cover possible damage to the rented property. This deposit will not be charged or affect your credit limit. STRIPE acts as an impartial mediator. You will only have to follow the instructions in an email from STRIPE to make the deposit. This deposit covers possible damage to objects in the rented premises. It is not considered a partial payment of rent and will be returned after the tenant leaves, less any repair costs. This security deposit can be reduced by providing resort insurance which is already included in your home insurance contract.
