The space The Outlander is a one-of-a-kind Airbnb retreat inspired by the timeless allure of the hit show "Outlander". Although the cabin sleeps four, it is important to note the secondary bedroom is a loft above the main bedroom, in which there is ladder access and minimal storage area. The ladder has wheel locks . You simply move the ladder over to the grab handles and LOCK the wheels before going upstairs. The cabin was designed with a mesmerizing blend of old-world charm and contemporary convenience. Stepping through the inviting, old-style cabin door, you'll find yourself transported into an old-fashioned world, where wooden style floors, farm-to-furniture furnishings, and a rustic charm surround you. The kitchen is equipped with the all the essentials, harkening back to a simpler time with no modern coffee pot, but instead, a French press for your morning brew. As you venture outside, you'll find a covered porch that beckons you to sit and take in the stunning views. A stone patio is adorned with Adirondack furnishings, the trees overhead strung with Edison light bulbs, casting a warm and inviting glow amongst the night sky. A custom fire pit awaits, perfect for storytelling and stargazing, while an outdoor shower allows you to reconnect with nature while maintaining your modern-day amenities. This Airbnb is designed to immerse you in an off-grid, old-world experience, with all the modern necessities you require, including WiFi, TV, hot water, and electricity. It's a journey back in time with the convenience of today, creating an unforgettable and immersive experience for fans of "Outlander" or anyone seeking a unique and memorable escape. Inside are a plush queen bed as well as a full size bed in the loft, fresh linens, sheets, blankets, pillows. A full size shower, engulfed with beautiful tile work and glass doors. There is a table with stools for enjoying meals which easily seconds as a work space, perfectly positioned at a window that piers out at the trees, the pond, the mountains and the covered porch. The kitchen is equipped with a two burner stove, refrigerator, freezer, toaster oven which seconds as an air fryer. All dish wear, pots and pans, glasses, silverware, cooking utensils. and BBQ utensils. A drain tray for washing dishes and numerous hot pads for the wooden butcher block counters. There is a French press with both loose coffee and coffee beans with a grinder. There is a 75 inch ROKU TV in the living room, equipped with the popular apps (if you don't see it, you can download it) Also in the living room is the wood burning stove with a glass door and plenty of firewood for your use. The cabin has both heat and air conditioning, and excellent WiFi. Outside, up the stairs in the backyard, there is a stone patio with a fire-pit, chairs, benches and a picnic table. The picnic table has an extension for you to place the BBQ grill on for ease of use. There is also an outdoor shower. During the springtime, there are natural springs which run around the cabin creating an amazing ambiance. The entire yard and patio is lined with solar equipped Edison bulbs. And don't forget the covered porch in front, plenty of benches and the 1800's buckboard carriage! Feel free to hang out on that and take pictures! The refrigerator will have breakfast food to start your first morning with, as well as a bottle of wine, should you desire later, and snacks to take with you when you venture out during the day. The home sits on 54 acres of land, with an additional 600 acres of state land attached. There are many trails and you are welcome to hike them all. ( PLEASE contact us during hunting season before you hike the property! We want everyone to be safe! So it's important to text or call us BEFORE you go hiking) We also have orange vests for you to wear) We also have a sugar house where we produce maple syrup every year, (End of March or so) if you'd like to learn how syrup is made, we are happy to give you the tour any time of year. There are free range chickens on the property and right in front of the home we have started to build an apple orchard ( no apple yet, this definitely takes some time) There are a couple of grocery stores nearby, (In Delhi and Stamford) about a 10 minute ride, Restaurants, specialty stores, cafes, wineries, farm stands where you can pick up additional "local" milk, eggs, cheese, steaks, hamburger meat etc There is much to do here to keep your days full of adventure, and we will send you a link to our online guest book to help you map out your visit here in the Catskill Mountains. We've tried to think of everything our guests would want and need. If there is something you want/need, we will do our best to accommodate you :) *Specific guidelines during hunting season apply for everyones safety. Other things to note Indoor Fireplace: Wood only provided between Nov 1st and Apr 1st. Generous amount of wood provided, any wood needed after that is $6 per bundle (please note bundles do not equate to the amount of wood initially provided). Outdoor fire pit: Wood provided all year. Any additional guests over 2 is a small charge of $15/person/night. Guests are not permitted to use land for hunting. We are connected to 600 acres of state land which hunters are more than welcome to use.
