Close to all the major hospitals, GM, google center and airport yet far enough to enjoy small town tranquility. The wood paneling and electric fireplace in the living room yield a cozy, cabin vibe. The spacious bedroom features a king size bed. The space This spacious upstairs apartment used to be part of a 3 bed 2 bath home that was stylishly converted into a duplex. It's an ideal space for a traveling worker. Close enough to all the major hospitals yet far enough to enjoy small town tranquility. -22 min to google data center -15 min to GM -30min drive to Parkview Regional -20 min to Lutheran Hospital -25 min to Lutheran Downtown Hospital -15 min to Fort Wayne Intl Airport The home is heated by boiler heat and the thermostat is controlled by the downstairs tenants. The living room has an electric fireplace for added heat and comfort if necessary. In summer months the bedroom and living room each have a window ac unit which keep the upstairs cool to your liking. These are generally installed late May early June dependent on weather and/or upon request. Indiana weather can be very fickle. Important to note is the headspace in the shower. The unit is priced at a price point to make up for this inconvenience. Someone 6 ft tall may not be comfortable showering in this space but none of the 6ft traveling workers who have stayed have had an issue with it given the price. Just being up front to reflect that the shower is under a slanted ceiling and taller people will likely have to sit to shower (again priced accordingly for this reason). The stairs are also steeper than newer construction with a shallow stair tread depth. It is 1900 construction home and may not be well suited for those with mobility issues. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, pots and pans, silverware etc but does not feature a dishwasher. There is a washer and dryer downstairs for guest use which is shared with the downstairs unit and is accessed from the outside. Guest access The entire upstairs is for guest use and not shared. The only areas that are shared are the front porch, back yard, and laundry area. Other things to note The shower has low headspace as it is located under a slanted ceiling. (See pictures) Noise can be expected from the downstairs unit. There is not much sound barrier as this is an older home and does not boast of superb sound dampening construction. Carpet was installed in the bedroom to help with this but voices are still easily heard thru the floor of the rest of the unit. A dog grooming/boarding facility is next door so dogs barking can be heard from time to time. In summer months the ac units drown this out. Two houses down from Hwy 1 that runs thru Ossian produces traffic noise as well.
