Engler’s Escape - Bear Den

Take it easy at this rustic, unique, and tranquil getaway located right along the Kankakee River. Guests have access to the river on-site down a nearby path. This cottage features a small, private deck. Close to all the town amenities but on the outskirts for a peaceful, natural setting. If the occasional fly, spider, mosquito, etc. bothers you, this probably is not a good fit as we have many trees on the property. The space This home features a full kitchen, full bathroom, laundry, living room with firestick streaming TV, and two bedrooms. There's a small deck, accessible from the living room, to enjoy nature. Follow the driveway down to the river's edge and relax by a bonfire or just watch the river roll by. This property is also very close to grocery, gas, restaurants, etc. *Due to the age of the cabin, the floors are a bit uneven in areas. Please consider this before booking. Thank you. Guest access The whole home is accessible. You may also enjoy the open area riverside. Other things to note This is a gorgeous natural setting surrounded by lots of trees and the river. Nature has, at times, been a bit 'pesky'. If seeing a bug, spider, etc. will ruin your vacation, this may not be the setting for you. We are unable to refund someone's stay because they encountered a bug.
