It has a natural smell as it’s not treated with chlorine like city water. Bottled water is available at the nearby gas station (2 mins drive), and we provide a Brita filter for your convenience. 🚶‍♀️⚠️ STEEP STAIRS: The stairs are part of our cabin’s rustic charm. They’re safe but can be a bit tricky at first, so please take your time and exercise caution. **Things to bring** ➤ Flip-flops and Bluetooth speakers for hot tub use. ➤ Firewood, charcoal, and lighter fluid. **Local Amenities and Outdoor Adventures** ➤ Coffee shops and restaurants: Less than a mile ➤ The Spotted Horse Ranch: 3 miles ➤ Tar Hollow State Park: 10 miles ➤ Hocking Hills State Parks: 15 miles ➤ 15-25 minutes to major hikes. Guest access ➤ Onsite parking is available. ➤ Guests listed on the reservation have full access to the entire cabin and all its amenities. Other things to note ➤ Limited provisions provided; Young's Family Market nearby offers more necessities (closes at 8 pm). ➤ A security camera is on the front of the building to ensure safety of our guests and our property. Tampering with the device is grounds for immediate eviction without refund. Our security camera ensures the guest count on the reservation matches those who arrive at the cabin. No outside guests permitted. No third party bookings. ➤ Driveway and Privacy: The Rustic Cabin shares a driveway with a Brick House, positioned for maximum privacy. The cabin has uphill driveway, manageable in normal weather. Snow removal is provided when there's more than 2" of snow accumulation, and 4-wheel drive is recommended during winter. ➤ Cabin Charms: Our cozy retreat in Hocking Hills offers a chance to unplug and cherish quality time together. Please note some quirks like well water (some guests prefer bottled water because of the sulphur smell) and occasional spotty cell service (reliable WiFi). Please exercise caution on the steep stairs, which match the rustic vibe. Your safety is our priority. ➤ Environment Notice: Our home is nestled in nature, and occasionally, 'nature' finds its way inside. We make efforts to control pests with professional services. As we coexist with the environment, we kindly request keeping doors closed to minimize encounters. Please refrain from feeding the animals. ➤ Firewood is not provided; guests are requested to bring their own ➤ No refunds for weather, natural disasters, or power outages; consider travel insurance for cancellations. ➤ $200 charge for each rule violation, plus cleaning/damage expenses.
