The Serene Home Overlooking The Harbour

Entire guesthouse in Opononi, Hokianga up on a hill overlooking the harbour and sand dunes. The perfect place to have a holiday and still have access to internet if you need to still connect with work and the outside work. Fully self-contained with a kitchenette, lounge, bedroom and bathroom. The space The guest house is a self-contained unit with its own access separated by a short walkway to the owner's unit. There is a microwave, air oven fryer, and a fridge/freezer. A selection of cereals is provided and there are a range of spreads in the fridge and bread for toasting (in the freezer). Coffee and a range of teas and milk is provided. We do encourage guests to sample the amazing food and beverage options in Opononi that are a 5–10-minute walk and include the local pub and amazing fish and chip shop. The Sands Hotel and Pizza/Kotare coffee shop are a short 5-minute drive. There are also other communities close by whom offer also great food. You will find information about our wonderful Hokianga, places to visit and also access amazing food. The bedroom has a double bed with a small open wardrobe/shelf for clothes and the lounge has a sofa bed that opens up to a double bed. The bathroom has a vanity, shower with amazing hot water and water pressure due to our installed calefont. There is a door separating the toilet. Netflix, TVNZ on demand is available including Wi-Fi access. Guests will have access to bedding (pillows, sheets and duvet) and towels. There is access to a washing machine and dryer in the guest house and a clothesline which is in the back yard. We are up on a hill, so the driveway is a little steep ( though concreted leading up to the front steps, The driveway is large enough for your vehicle to turn around). There are steps with a handrail which leads up onto the landing with a gate that needs to be closed at all times. At night time solar lights show the stairs. Guest access Guests have full access to the guest house and all amenities. There is a deck off the main entrance to the guest house and includes the back yard. Guests will have shared access to the outside table, BBQ and spa pool, front and back yard. There are four kayaks that can be launched from the boat ramp opposite the property, with a variety of life jackets available. The guests have sole use of the spa pool during their stay. Note: Transporting and the use of kayaks, life jackets, use of the spa, BBQ and swimming is strictly done at guests' risk and responsibility. Other things to note I have one friendly old dog. Nicky is my old girl who is an outside dog who thinks she is an inside dog and may come and say hi and look for a pat. When I am not home, Nicky will be in her kennel. I have four cats (all with very different personalities and named Trixy, Skittles, Monty and Lion. We are on a hill; our boundary is directly on the main road and the harbour. Because of this the property isn't suitable for children. Smoking and/or vaping is prohibited inside the guesthouse. If smoking/vaping outside, please do not discard your cigarettes on the ground. Please be mindful of our fabulous neighbours and excessive noise especially at night-time.
