This is a great home base for day trips exploring the Blue Hill peninsula and surrounding towns, Deer Isle/Stonington, Bucksport, Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, which is 35 miles away. The house was clean, well decorated and had everything a group could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Blue Hill is a great centrally located home base for day trips to many of Maine’s best locations. The “Mail Boat” from Stonington to Isle Au Haut” is a great way to spend a day and there are a number of beautiful hiking trials in the area.
