The Loft, Goring, Oxfordshire

Situated within easy reach of Oxford and an hour’s train journey from London Paddington, The Loft is set in beautifully landscaped gardens surrounded by five acres of farmland where the owners maintain free range chickens and a small flock of Welsh Halfbred sheep who may wish to say hello to you in the mornings! There is also a small vineyard where the owners make a delicious white wine - Chalkhill Blue. In 2024 guests viewed and photographed the Aurora Borealis from the balcony! The space With uninterrupted views towards the Goring Gap, this oak framed barn was built in 2015 and provides an idyllic romantic retreat. The accommodation has been designed and fitted to an exceptionally high standard and whilst it is close to the main farmhouse, it faces towards the fields and is quite private. From the balcony and French doors guests can view the distant hills, the exquisite landscaped gardens and enjoy all the comforts and tranquillity that The Loft has to offer. Aside from being perfectly located, The Loft is close to many local attractions. From an enjoyable afternoon spent at Basildon Park or Greys Court, to a weekend of walking The Ridgeway National trail and the Thames Pathway. Whilst the local area has plenty to offer, Oxford and London are easily accessible from Goring station and if that isn't enough to tempt you, don't worry, there is a pub within walking distance too! There is parking for one car. Any additional cars can be parked in the adjoining field by arrangement. Other things to note There is an electric controlled gate at the entrance to the property which opens automatically. BEWARE - the gate opens outwards!
