The space Professionally designed and built with natural local materials by talented local builders, this home is one of a kind. Front, back and side porches maximize the views of the surrounding landscape and offer plenty of outdoor dining and seating spaces for entertaining, relaxing or enjoying a stunning sunrise. Much of the furniture is designed and built in Uganda by local craftsmen using reclaimed wood and natural materials. The master bathroom is like a mini vacation to the Kenyan coast, with a semi outdoor shower for maximum spa experience. Each bedroom has its own unique design style and private bathroom space. The self-catering kitchen is fully appointed with gas cooker, microwave, toaster, coffee press, kettle, cooking and serving utensils, saucepans, glasses, cups, plates and silverware. Spices, coffee, tea and sugar are provided. One bottle of drinking water per person per day is provided. The dining room is the heart of the home with an extra-large dining table. The sitting room is spacious and comfortable with a mix of global design elements, while serving as a multipurpose space for TV watching (DSTV), resting, board games, reading or quality time with friends and family. A tire swing and games are also on site for kids' entertainment. Guest access Entire property except for the guard house. Other things to note Please note that insects and mosquitos will enter the home if windows and doors are left open (all windows have protective window mesh). Some seasons are worse than others for mosquitos, which are part of the natural setting. Bug spray, bed nets, and battery-powered insect zappers are provided. If you have a tent, there’s plenty of outdoor space for camping. The property is secured with chain link fencing all around. Security cameras are installed in public spaces. Electricity is inconsistent nationwide. A standby generator is available for phone charging and lighting after dark.
