Two of the bedrooms have comfortable queen-sized beds and the 3rd bedroom has 2 bunk beds, one of which is elevated to take advantage of the vaulted ceiling. There is an open-plan kitchen/dining area with new gas stove and fridge-freezer appliances, a cozy wood stove for the cooler months and ceiling fan for climate control. The dining table has additional inserts allowing up to 8 people to sit comfortably together and a large window seat for lounging in the sun. The full bathroom includes a shower-bath stall and scented toiletries. There is a sunroom with a sofa bed and large windows revealing a full view of the sunny, park-like setting in front where deer often wander through and children can run and play. An expansive, wrap-around tiered deck offers an outdoor shower, BBQ, sun-loungers, Muskoka chairs and a hammock providing you with lots of optional areas to sit, relax and savour a cold drink. Take a short stroll to north beach (and other forest trails) via a driftwood gate and path leading from the back of the cabin. A well mannered pet is welcome for an additional fee, with some conditions and special considerations. Guest access Guests have use of the whole cabin for themselves. Other things to note All properties on Savary Island are off-grid and as such, do have some special considerations. Upon arrival, guests will be provided with advice regarding the use of our solar panels and generator for providing electrical power for basic needs. All off-grid properties will limit the use of electrical appliances such as toasters and hairdryers to conserve energy and preserve the solar batteries. We have a flush, septic toilet and only environmentally sensitive cleaning chemicals can be used. Please bring your own bathroom, beach and kitchen towels as well as bed sheets and pillow cases. (Mattress pads, blankets, duvets, pillows are provided for your comfort). Unfortunately, operating a washer-dryer on Savary is very difficult due to the electrical draw and the time between rentals would not allow for outdoor drying in the sun. The island grocery store is a short walk away supplying all basic essentials or items you may have forgotten. It is advisable to bring most groceries and supplies that you may need during your stay. You may wish to bring bikes. There is a small extra charge to bring bikes to Savary on the Lund water taxi. While furry friends are welcome (for an extra fee), pets are not allowed on the soft furnishings, sofa or beds. Please bring a dog bed with you for Rover's comfort. Dogs need to be under control at all times to avoid disturbing our lovely neighbours and local deer. All dog poo must be picked up and removed from our property. Since there is no garbage or recycling pick up, everyone on Savary (including residents) is required to take all garbage and recycling off the island at the end of their stay. Garbage bags are provided for your convenience. It is essential our property is kept clean for future guests to enjoy. Thank you so much for your understanding!
