Getting to the The space After a day of sun, sand and surf, come back to the house and gather in the comfortably furnished great room with a fabulous ocean view. This bright and airy, open-concept space features vaulted shiplap ceilings for a modern beach house vibe. The living area leads directly out to an expansive, ocean-facing sun deck where you can enjoy the salty ocean breezes and the sound of crashing waves. Back inside, the chef in the family will appreciate the updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances and bar seating. Serve meals indoors or al fresco on the screened porch with picnic table. End the night with a relaxing soak in the bubbly hot tub before heading off to bed. The town of Rodanthe is the first stop south of the Bonner Bridge - the ideal setting for a laid back, slower-paced vacation while still having conveniences and dining options nearby. If you need a break from the beach, take a trip back in time at the Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station Museum. Reel in the catch of the day from the Hatteras Island Fishing Pier, or enjoy the other side of the island with a variety of watersport activities in the Pamlico Sound. Other things to note Please note that the daily effects of winds, waves, tides and storms have contributed to coastal erosion impacts at Cape Hatteras National Seashore, particularly adjacent to the villages of Rodanthe and Buxton. The effects of erosion in these towns result in dynamic and unpredictable changes to the dune line, which may unexpectedly affect beach access. Guests may need to utilize alternate beach access points during their stay. Pets allowed - DOGS ONLY (2 max). No smoking/vaping.
