Gather under the open sky around our cozy outdoor fire pit, or Treat yourself to a relaxing soak in our wood-fired hot tub (Additional fee: 800 NOK- 2hours) The space Our dome is located in a peaceful part of Lillehammer, within walking distance of popular outdoor attractions like cross-country skiing trails, the Lysgårdsbakkene Olympic ski jump, and Birkebeineren Ski Stadium. The nearest grocery store is just a 5-minute drive away, and Lillehammer town centre can be reached in about 10 minutes by car or via public transport. You’ll enjoy privacy in the dome, but please note that access to the bathroom and kitchen is inside our house. These areas are shared with us, as we live on the property. In the Dome: • Electricity is available for phone charging. • An electric kettle is provided for tea and coffee. • The dome is heated (wood, fuel, and electric heating) year-round. During the summer we provide a fan. In summer, outdoor furniture will be available on the dome’s terrace for your enjoyment. BATHROOM & KITCHEN Guests have access to the bathroom and kitchen inside our home. These spaces are shared with us, the hosts. FIRE PIT You’re welcome to use the fire pit free of charge. Firewood is provided. Please note that in case of a fire danger warning, we may restrict its use for safety reasons. WOOD-FIRED HOT TUB Our wood-fired hot tub is available for an additional fee of 800 NOK and must be booked at least one day in advance. We’ll provide instructions on how to heat and use it. The hot tub is located near our home, so while it may not feel completely private, we’ll close our curtains to ensure your comfort. Other things to note Sleeping Arrangements: The dome is ideal for two guests. A third guest can be accommodated with an extra bed (75 x 190 cm) upon request. Please note the space will feel tighter with three people. There are two chairs and two poufs available for seating. Hot tub: The hot tub doesn’t feel completely private as it’s located very close to the house, but we will close the curtains in the house. You’ll receive instructions on how to warm up the hot tub (if we are home, we can assist you). To keep the nightly rate affordable for guests who don’t use it, the hot tub is offered as an optional add-on (800 NOK - 2 hours). Kindly let us know if you’d like to book the hot tub as an optional add-on at least a day before your arrival. In that case we will request an additional charge of 800nok. Seasonal Info: October – April • The dome stays warm using multiple heat sources. • We preheat the dome before your arrival. • Expect a 20–30°C difference between outside and inside temperatures. • For example, if it’s -15°C outside, it may be around 5°C inside without the wood stove, or 15°C with the wood stove. • For very cold nights (-10°C or below), we recommend wearing wool layers and a hat while sleeping. • If temperatures are forecast to drop below -15°C, you may cancel up to 24 hours before check-in (by 2 PM the day before) for a full refund. May – September • The dome has a transparent roof and the summer days are long. • Sleep masks are provided for comfort. • On warm days (20°C+), it can get hot inside. A fan is provided.
