Experience Arctic Dome glamping year-round, just a 10-minute drive from Lillehammer. A short walk takes you to the iconic Olympic ski jump with stunning views. In winter, enjoy nearby cross-country trails. Kitchen and Bathroom facilities are located in our home and are shared with us. A friendly cat lives on the property. Gather under the open sky around our cozy outdoor fire pit, or treat yourself to a relaxing soak in our wood-fired hot tub (Additional fee: 800 NOK/2hour, pre-booking required) The space Location: Our dome is nestled in a peaceful area of Lillehammer, within walking distance of popular outdoor attractions such as cross-country skiing trails, the Lysgårdsbakkene Olympic ski jump, and Birkebeineren Ski Stadium. The nearest grocery store is just a 5-minute drive away, and Lillehammer town centre can be reached in about 10 minutes by car or public transport. Privacy and Shared Spaces: You’ll enjoy privacy in the dome, while access to the bathroom and kitchen is through our house. These areas are shared with us, as we live in the house, but we make sure everything is clean and comfortable for your stay. In the Dome The dome comes equipped with electricity for phone charging and an electric kettle for making tea or coffee. It is heated year-round with a combination of wood, fuel, and electric heating, and during the summer, a fan is provided to keep you cool. Included in Your Stay Your stay includes towels and bed linen, tea, coffee, and candles, as well as final cleaning, heating, and electricity. In summer, outdoor furniture will be available on the dome’s terrace for your enjoyment. BATHROOM & KITCHEN Guests have access to the bathroom and kitchen inside our home. These spaces are shared with us, the hosts. FIRE PIT You’re welcome to use the fire pit free of charge. Firewood is provided. Please note that in case of a fire danger warning, we may restrict its use for safety reasons. WOOD-FIRED HOT TUB Temporarily unavailable (Jan 6–Jan 20). Our wood-fired hot tub is available for an additional fee of 800 NOK per session and must be booked at least three days in advance. Other things to note Sleeping Arrangements: The dome is ideal for two guests. A third guest can be accommodated with an extra bed (75 x 190 cm) upon request. Please note the space will feel tighter with three people. There are two chairs and two poufs available for seating. Hot tub: Temporarily unavailable (Jan 6–Jan 20). The hot tub is located near the house, but we’ll close the curtains for your comfort. We’ll preheat the water for you, and you can then heat it further with wood to your preferred temperature. To keep the nightly rate affordable for guests who don’t plan to use it, the hot tub is available as an optional add-on for 800 NOK (2 hours). If you’d like to book it, please let us know at least 3 days before your arrival, and we’ll send you an additional charge of 800 NOK. September – April (Cool & Winter Season): The dome is preheated before your arrival to ensure a warm welcome. With electrical heating alone, the interior temperature is typically around 23°C warmer than outdoors. When the wood stove is also used, this difference can increase to approximately 33°C. On particularly cold nights (-15°C or below), we recommend sleeping in wool layers and wearing a hat for added comfort. If temperatures are forecast to drop below -15°C, you may cancel your stay up to 24 hours before check-in (by 2:00 PM the day before arrival) for a full refund. May – September (Spring & Summer Season): The dome features a transparent roof, and with long Nordic daylight hours, the interior can be quite bright—sleep masks are provided for your comfort. On warm days (20°C and above), the dome may become warm inside; a fan is available to help keep the space comfortable. If temperatures are forecast to exceed 25°C, you may cancel up to 24 hours before check-in (by 2:00 PM the day before arrival) for a full refund.
