Description

The gorgeous valley of Islita is truly something special. Tranquil and serene, filled with untouched nature and animals like Howler monkeys and Scarlett macaws, you'll never have a day without seeing something magical. We are so lucky to have amazing waves, elite surfing & yoga teachers, an epic equestrian center with trail riding, delicious restaurants, gorgeous hikes, dolphin tours, next level fishing, kayaking, waterfalls, quad rentals, turtle beaches, all within or nearby our lovely valley. The space Casa Malinche has arguably one of the best views in the valley of Punta Islita. Just a 4 min. walk to the beach you can't beat the location. The villa has a private pool, but currently you can use the beach front “public” pool for $5 an adult and $2 a child per day. You will feel comfortable and right at home in this gorgeous home. The home has been in our family for 15 years and was just remodeled to give it an updated and simply perfect feel for guests. It is a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home. You can rent a 4 person golf cart (for beach/restaurants and town access) $100 a day from a local business. We now have a washer and dryer in the house.🙌 Guest access The entire house is accessible. Other things to note The valley of Islita is quite unique. It is a small chill destination with the beautiful local town, privately owned luxury homes and beach all close in vicinity. Islita beach is family friendly almost the entire year. We rarely have currents or rip tides and our waves tend to be smaller because of the cove. There is also great shade, a surf school and a beachfront massage spa. There are often fun beginner waves and more advanced waves as well depending on swell and tide. There are many beaches nearby for more advanced surfing. And very few people at them so that's a bonus. Although small our valley has many restaurants to choose from. Upon booking you will receive a detailed pdf with every imaginable detail of every imaginable thing to do in this valley and the surrounding areas. =) 25 years ago when my family first came here there were no bridges or paved roads. It was quite the adventure. For most people arriving here by car can still feel quite exciting as there are about 25 mins of dirt mountainous road before you arrive in the valley. However there is now a bridge so you don't have to cross the huge river. We are about 2.5 hours from Liberia airport and 4.5 hours from San Jose airport. The pdf I send you has driving direction links and all the details you need for getting here including shuttle services, private plane charters, etc. The nature and wildlife here is very exciting (see photos). We have a Scarlett macaw breeding center which has currently released over 50 birds into the wild in our valley. Our beach is in between two turtle nesting beaches! Our climate is more dry in the non-rainy season (Dec-April) and although humid in the rainy season (May-Nov) it's quite comfortable for most. Yes we have bugs and critters. Don't leave things on the ground, shake out items and shoes. The home is overall mosquito free although during rainy season they can be around more. Come prepared if you know you are sensitive to them. We have top level horse riding (Check out Blue Zone Equestrian online), private yoga, exclusive surf trips, beachfront spa services and so much more. All this info. will be included in more detail in the pdf. We can provide private chef options if you are interested. It is smart when traveling to any country to be mindful of your valuables. Although rare, petty theft does occur so just like in any place best not to leave anything in your car when parking at beaches here and don't leave things on the beach unattended.
