Description

The room is located inside the LO SVEVO Historic Residence in the historic center of Jesi, the birthplace of Emperor Frederick II. It is located a stone's throw from the most interesting tourist sites, including the Pergolesi Theater, Piazza Federico II with the Moriconi Theater, the Cathedral of San Settimio, and the City Walls with the Mezzogiorno Tower and the Clementine Arch. Payment of the tourist tax of €1.50 per person per day is mandatory on site, according to the rules in force. The space Frederick II of Swabia, known as "Stupor mundi" for his extraordinary political merits and personal talents, is remembered for his polyglot erudition and his role as a patron for artists and scientists. Founder of the University of Naples, the first of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, Frederick II supported this institution with the conviction that it should form the future elite of the kingdom. In addition to his academic contributions, Frederick II was an expert in falconry, author of the treatise "De arte venandi cum avibus", still a reference for enthusiasts of this noble practice. His passion for the arts led him to grant freedom to the Trovatori, appreciating their ability to tell stories of dames and knights. Frederick II was also an unparalleled horse breeder, with specimens considered the best of the time. The equestrian culture of his reign is documented in Giordano Ruffo's "De Medicina Equorum", which describes the characteristics of the ideal horse. In the political sphere, Frederick II entered into a historic agreement with the Sultan of Egypt Al-Kamil for the partition of the Holy Land, earning the esteem of Muslims. However, his marriage to Constance of Aragon was a union of convenience, bringing five hundred Spanish knights as a dowry to fight the rebellious Sicilian nobles. Her cultural heritage and love for animals inspired the creation of a new pet-friendly room, which meets the needs of guests traveling with their pets, while ensuring the traditional tranquility of the rooms on the first floor. Guest access Beyond the common areas, reception and breakfast room, the room offers exclusive access with a lockable door and a private bathroom. Elegance and austerity are manifested in the Falconieri Room, where the extraordinary architecture and coffered ceiling create an almost regal welcome. For those who want to immerse themselves in the historical context, the Camera dei Trovatori offers frescoes that evoke the charm of the Middle Ages. In addition, the new dedicated room, an integral part of the historic Palazzo Ghislieri, has an independent entrance accessible from the condominium courtyard located on the ground floor. Other things to note Dog surcharge € 10 per night.
