Kingfisher Cottage

The cutest little 1950s ‘cottage’ just outside of the city, perched on top of a hill just across from the river. Come and stay, and listen to the local Kingfishers in the trees. This fully self contained dwelling is the ground floor of our main house, my partner and I live upstairs with our two dogs, so you might see us around occasionally. There are cafes in walking distance, plenty of hill top walks, you’re only 10 minutes drive from the city centre and only 15 minutes drive from the beach. The space The space is very cute and cozy, with the main space being open living, with your bedroom, kitchen and living all in one. And then a full sized bathroom in the back. The queen bed is a mezzanine (raised) bed with a narrow staircase & handle at the top, please ensure you are capable of climbing up onto it before booking. There is a fold out futon single bed below and cot available if you require it. There is a TV with ChromeCast so you can cast your own shows and watch what you like. We allow pets inside but must be leashed when outside As we live above the Airbnb, you may hear us or our dogs occasionally. Guest access You will have your own private space downstairs, accessed through your own entry door. Our access is through our own deck, we live upstairs. Other things to note We have 1x medium and 1x large dog, that are both harmless and friendly but may occasionally bark. If you have an issue with dogs, please inform us before your stay and we will ensure they are on leash when walking around the property. Breakfast is provided for 2 days If your stay is for 8 days or more, we do have a mandatory clean every 5 days which is an additional charge that we will request. If you do additionally require the single futon bed and you don't have 3 guests staying, you will be charged the extra guest nightly fee as the amount of washing and set up is the same.
