American River: American River is a small community that is actually on a bay not a river, between Kingscote & Penneshaw This apartment is located in Kingscote, close to all conveniences including supermarket, petrol station, chemist, hardware and food. It is roughly a 5 min drive to any of the conveniences mentioned! And you are only 1.9kms from the beach...! Ideally if you haven’t signed up to do a tour of some sort.... you’re gonna need your own transport. There is no public transport on KI... in order to get around and see as much as you can... you will require transport..... the island is bigger than expected. You can bring a vehicle over on the ferry. Alternatively you can rent a vehicle when you get off the ferry. Sealink offer a bus from Adelaide to the ferry at Cape Jervis. And Qantas offer quick flights from Adelaide Airport.
