Very quiet location, next to lovely pub in picturesque village; only 1 & 1/2 miles off the A12 and just 15 minutes to the sea. 16th Century house, full of character, exposed beams and open fires; kingsize beds; down duvets and pillows, Egyptian cotton sheets; sympathetically designed, modern bathrooms. Lovely walks surrounding. The breakfasts, delicious and abundant, feature local, artisan and homemade produce. . The space If you like breakfast then look no further - Sasha's breakfasts are fast becoming the talk of Great Glemham! Using local produce from kippers to eggs, sourdough bread to bacon and sausages, the best black pudding, beautifully fried mushrooms and oven roasted tomatoes; homemade marmalades and jams, Aga baked porridge and a fruit salad to surpass all fruit salads - you won't be disappointed. There is a tea and coffee (cafetière) tray in the room, and bottled water. The Garden Room is situated on the ground floor and has an ensuite shower room and a private lobby. In total there are 3 king size rooms (The Turret Room, located on the first floor with private bathroom & The Rose Room, also on the first floor, with ensuite bathroom - shower over bath). All the bathrooms are brand new. The rooms have king size mahogany sleigh beds with low foot board; pocket sprung mattresses, fine down pillows and duvets, Egyptian cotton bed linen and white towels. Breakfast is served in the Georgian dining room and there is a guest sitting room with open fire. Opposite is a lovely pub, The Crown Inn, which offers home cooked food and a fine selection of ales. Check for opening times. Guest access There is a large, oak beamed dining room with open fire that you are free to make use of and a very attractive secluded garden - about a third of an acre. It is full of roses and peonies and mature trees including quince, apple, pear and walnut.
