THE SPECIAL TOUCH: A mini-farm for children (and curious visitors of all ages) is open 24/7 and can be accessed directly from the cottage. The space The accommodation is located in the very heart of the farm, not overlooked, and offers a splendid view of the hilly landscape. Peace and quiet guaranteed. For your peace of mind, there are no other cottages on the property, and we do not live on site. The 90 m² cottage is fully equipped to allow you to enjoy a peaceful and comfortable stay. It includes: - Kitchen and dining room: a welcoming space equipped with everything you need (fridge, dishwasher, kettle, coffee maker, cooking utensils, etc.). - Living room: two sofa beds, a coffee table, and a flat-screen TV. - Three cozy bedrooms: two with a double bed and one with two single beds. Each room has a wardrobe for your belongings. The beds are made upon your arrival. - Bathroom: Shower, sink and toilet. - Laundry room: ideal for storing your bulky items (bicycles, etc.). The cottage is completely secure, so little ones can play safely outside. We have everything we need to accommodate young children (umbrella bed, high chair, sunbed, games...) We also provide you with: - Board games for all ages - Outdoor games for children ( draisienne, trotter, scooter, boules, rackets, basketball basket...) - Fishing poles - A garden table - Sunbathing - BBQ The accommodation is heated exclusively by a wood-burning stove, which will need to be fed by you (wood is provided free of charge). Guest access La Ferme de la Marsandière is a family-run farm located in St-Pardoux-Soutiers, in the Deux-Sèvres department. It covers about sixty hectares, mostly grassland. Sheep farming is the main activity, although other animals can also be seen on the farm, such as pygmy goats, cows, horses, donkeys, chickens, bees, etc. Numerous activities will be offered, upon request and in our presence for those who wish to participate. Our goal is to share our daily life with you and provide you with unforgettable experiences and moments rich in discovery. Children can have unlimited fun and help with farm chores. They will be able to feed the sheep, bottle-feed the lambs during the lambing season, give grain to the chickens, collect the eggs, look after the dwarf goats, discover the world of bees, the world of horses… and perhaps even witness births… (Some activities may not be possible depending on the season and weather conditions). THE BONUS: A mini-farm has been set up to delight children; it is open 24/7 and can be accessed directly from the cottage. Fancy a picnic or an afternoon of fishing? Our small pond, nestled in a beautifully wooded valley, is perfect for relaxing activities (there is a picnic table on site, deck chairs, a swing, and a sandbox to keep the little ones entertained). Access to the pond is secure. And if you're more interested in walking or cycling, the municipality of Saint-Pardoux-Soutiers is known for its many hiking trails. Check-out is directly from the farm.
