The property is 4 minutes from I-70 but feels miles away. You'll love the secluded neighborhood with sweeping views of New York Mountain and Castle Peak - and no highway noise! We’ve been in the High Rockies for over a decade and we love everything about living here. The skiing, the trails, the rivers, the hot springs - you name it. Just let us know what you’re thinking about doing and we are happy to point you in the right direction and provide you with gear, if we have it! *Se habla espanol The space You'll have your own ground-level entrance to the lockoff apartment in our home. There is plenty of parking in the driveway. We have wifi, but no cable TV. Roku is set up to use streaming services (a few provided). The listing is for 4 adults, but send us a message if you have kids - we can likely fit a few more little ones! If you need a crib, pack and play, high chair, or small mattress, just let us know. You'll have all the necessities waiting for you in the kitchenette: coffee, tea, sugar, cream, oil/butter and some basic spices. We provide a two-burner hotplate, airfryer, toaster oven, and a few kitchen staples. Guest access You'll have access to the lockoff apartment in our home apartment living area with kitchenette, one bedroom, one bathroom), and open space/parks in the neighborhood. You are welcome to enjoy the fenced-in yard. We have a couple of hammocks and chairs in the shade. (Trampoline is off-limits). If you have a dog, please don't leave them in the yard while you are away for the day. Parking is available in front of the apartment in the driveway. Other things to note NO CHORES We offer a "hotel-style" checkout: we hate doing chores on vacation. No need to strip the beds, take out the trash, or detail clean behind the fridge. Used towels in the tub as a courtesy, but otherwise, lock the door on your way out! EARLY CHECK-IN/LATE CHECKOUT As long as we don't have another guest coming or going the same day as you, we are happy to offer both early check-in and late check-out. Please give us a heads up though so we can make sure we have the cleaners scheduled in time to accommodate. NOISE We are a quiet family, but we have a child and we sometimes host guests for dinner or play-dates. Our kitchen wall is shared with the apartment, so you might hear us at mealtimes or when putting dishes away. You will also hear the garage door open and close on occasion. STRICT CANCELLATION POLICY Please be sure to read our cancellation policy before booking. The highways are well-maintained, the winter weather is unpredictable. If you are driving to the mountains, be sure to have an AWD/4WD vehicle with good tires and consider purchasing travel insurance if you are concerned about trip disruption due to weather.
