You are welcome at our secret charming 1840’s historic Homestead with the real feel of country hospitality. A unique experience. All you need for a relaxing experience. Friendly hosts close to Warrnambool. The space The suite has historic, old-world charm with modern appointments. The space is comprised of a bedroom, bathroom, living room, foyer and verandah. Outside the views are excellent and the garden provides for peaceful relaxation. Very suitable for creative people who need space without interruptions. Beautiful sunrises and long sunsets from the raised vantage point. Perfect for people interested in Art, or couples wanting peace and privacy. Babies welcome. Easy access. Perfect for anniversaries weddings and honeymoons but let us know so we can spoil you with champagne. Guest access From the on-site parking spot, guests head straightup the path to their own entrance. Guests are free to use the garden on that side of the house and can take a long walk up the track to view the farm animals (horses, sheep and cattle) and take in the lovely views over the Grassmere valley. We are still rebuilding the garden and renovating old sheds on the other side of the house. If you have skills and want to help - talk to us. If you have creative ideas to help restore this piece of our heritage we'd love to hear from you. This is possibly the oldest house in this area. You can feel the magic. Ask Janet about the triple wedding held here after WW1. Other things to note We are in the countryside. Property boundaries need to be respected, livestock have right of way ( you can hurry them on with a toot if they are too slow) Enjoy the view down to WBool and the Southern Ocean. Gates need to be left as they are found. Coming from Warrnambool turn LEFT off Hopkins Hwy onto ROSENEATH Rd. Follow the tarred road to the little bridge onto Private property. Follow the MIDDLE dirt road following 238 'Carrakoorte the Secret Farmhouse ‘ signs UP the hill, over the cattle grid to the end of the road. NOT Bluestone on left keep going. Give way to animals and enjoy the views. This is a totally unique place and experience. Lots of secrets!
