The Scullery, Woodhall Farm

'The Scullery' (c.1828), 10 minutes drive from Launceston Airport, a convict-brick dwelling. Originally it was the farmhouse kitchen, it has been beautifully restored in 2017 for guest accommodation. Modern furniture, allowing its convict-era past to shine, charming and unique. Continental breakfast supplied. Surrounded by many acres of farmland, 'The Scullery' is adjacent, but not connected to, our family home. We are available if needed, but you have your own 'zone' with outdoor fenced gardens and seating areas to take in the sweeping views . You can walk along the river bank, through the fields and around our property. There are birds of prey, native flora and fauna and of course, lots of sheep! We have chooks, horses, Wessex Saddleback pasture-raised pigs and friendly dogs. Guest access We have extensive gardens, shearing shed and farm buildings to explore. 'The Scullery' has a kitchenette with microwave and bar fridge stocked with continental breakfast provisions, including homemade sourdough, coffee pod machine and leaf tea. There is not a cook top or oven, we provide a Weber BabyQ BBQ for outdoor cooking. There are a number of places to eat locally including the Clarendon Arms, Ingleside Bakery and Prince of Wales Hotel in Evandale; The Queens Head, Utsi and Perth Pizzeria in Perth; The Happy Chef and Blenheim Inn in Longford; Woolmers Estate tea rooms near Longford. Other things to note Depending on the time of year and stock movements, you may be able to watch the shearers at shearing time or help out with watering trees on the riverbank as part of our revegetation project to reduce erosion and create a wildlife corridor. Make your mark and offset your carbon usage by planting a tree perhaps! Whatever the time of year, we are in a lovely part of the state, close to many attractions.
