Set in prime farmland of the Karkloof valley, surrounded by stunning views, 11 Karkloof is the perfect choice for a relaxed getaway. . The space We are located 6,5km away from town in the Karkloof Valley on a 12 hectare farm. All our units are self-contained houses, which are cleaned thoroughly after every checkout and again before any of our guests check in. There is plenty of space on the property to go for walks and experience the outdoors, away from the masses. We provide complimentary hand and dish washing soap and toilet paper during your stay. We only have 7 staff on the property at one time during the week and two on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday), all of which have been informed of the current situation and instructed on the necessary steps. Initially operating as a mushroom farm, the buildings have been transformed into unique self-catering units, which accommodate 47 people in the 2 houses and 5 cottages. . The next step of the transformation has been restoring the mushroom tunnels into artisanal rental opportunities for local businesses. Home Slice cafe is open in one of the mushroom tunnels, for breakfast and lunch Thursday - Monday if you don`t fancy cooking every meal. The farm is surrounded by the best mountain biking and trail running routes in South Africa and is an ideal starting point for wonderful day trips exploring all the Midlands Meander has to offer. The Karkloof Farmers market is on the farm next door, just a walk across a field away on a Saturday morning. Restaurants, shopping centers, Karkloof Canopy tours, Karkloof Falls, the Karkloof polo club and Karkloof horse trails are all in close proximity making it an ideal destination for the whole family and people from all walks of life.
