L'écrin, charming cottage 3 km from Semur-en-Auxois

L'Ecrin is a charming little cottage with refined country-chic decor located in Burgundy, at the gates of the medieval city of Semur-en-Auxois (3 km). A small cocoon of sweetness, the cottage is ideal for a couple or a family of 2 people with 2 or 3 children. It has a great view of the surrounding countryside. It is also very close to several tourist sites (Fontenay Abbey, Alesia and its museum park, Morvan Natural Park etc.). A6 highway exit 12 km away The space The accommodation is composed of a main room of 25 m2 including a small equipped open kitchen (refrigerator, oven, TASSIMO capsule coffee machine, toaster, microwave, kettle, tea and coffee available for your first breakfast, induction stove, all the utensils to make good dishes as well as cleaning products), a seating area equipped with a sofa bed (2 places/140x200 mattress) and a flat screen with Netflix (with your own access codes) and finally, a wooden chest full of games and toys for your children! Upstairs, the 25 m² room is equipped with a queen size bed (160 x 200), a relaxation/reading area with two cozy armchairs, books for adults and children, as well as an extra bed (sofa bed) for 2 people (140 x 200). A mini room, also upstairs, has the extra necessities you might need (baby bed, high chair for children, ironing board and iron, clothes rack, table extensions, extra pillows, vacuum cleaner, etc.). The accommodation has a bathroom – cozy toilet with shower cubicle, vanity unit and 10 kg front-loading washing machine. Hairdryer, towels, shower mat and hand soap will be at your disposal. The little extras: - Free Wi-Fi (very high speed fiber) - In fine weather, you will enjoy the terrace and large garden with a magnificent sunset - Garden furniture (wooden armchairs and sofa, table and chairs, 2 deckchairs, very large umbrella and barbecue will be available in the summer season). - Possibility of arriving earlier than 5pm depending on the departure of previous guests (in this case, we will inform you by message!) Other things to note: - Your dog is welcome, however it should not be left alone in the house! Also, please make sure it doesn't get on the sofa and beds. - Please do not light the candles - Only people whose names have been provided at the time of booking will be allowed to enter. - Guests are strictly prohibited unless there is an exceptional request. - Checkout is by 11 a.m. at the latest Guest access All areas are accessible. Other things to note Information: - the outside staircase is impassable. It is therefore strictly forbidden to use it. We ask that you be vigilant with children on this point. - the garden surrounding the house is, for the moment, not fenced. We ask that you take this point into consideration for children and animals. - Be sure to lock the cottage when you are away. We accept no responsibility for theft. - all rooms are embellished with decorative frames handmade by Sandra who has her small business.
