The house is comfortable, spacious with quite a spectacular backdrop of bluestone. You'll see what we mean when you arrive. Under foot you've got polished floorboards throughout the older front section, cool concrete in the main living then carpeting through the upper floors - it's total style and luxury. Full of clean lines and clever design it's architecturally designed to respond to the environment. For your comfort there are excellent heating and cooling options to create the perfect home environment. Completely cool in Summer with ducted AC throughout it's a real oasis. In winter the hydronic heating and the floating fireplace will also truly make this the cosiest house in Fitzroy. The spacious lounge and dining space is perfect to entertain and just as comfortable to curl up on the comfy couch, with a glass of wine and movies streamed on the massive TV. The kitchen has a cool chef vibe and is fully fitted out with anything you might need for preparing meals at home – should you get tired of the extensive outside dining options that is! All mod cons are provided including miele appliances, induction cookers and twin ovens, a dishwasher and a coffee machine. The indoor or outdoor dining area is perfect for sharing those home cooked meals or entertaining indoors or out. Did I mention the pool. A social space as it was described once to me when it was installed - small but deep and beautifully landscaped you'll feel refreshed in a natural oasis that's more Bali than Fitzroy. This is a definite big plus as Melbourne summers can get kind of hot! To say the four bedrooms are large is an understatement. Downstairs are 3 queen rooms; one with an ensuite. The other two are close to the main bathroom so there's plenty of amenity for guests. Downstairs retain the polished timber floors with all bathrooms maintaining the original beautiful (decorative) fireplaces. All ground floor rooms have hydronic heating with customised controls. The master bedroom upstairs has a King sized bed and 5 star ensuite. This room looks out onto the impressive 19th century church and gardens and overlooks the pool area. It's truly a luxurious room. Get a really restful nights sleep, and wake up refreshed and ready for one of Melbourne’s famous café breakfasts! Or simply stock up the fridge, cook up a storm in this very spacious chefs kitchen and enjoy the tranquility of the bluestone courtyard. All 3 bathrooms are well appointed, spacious, and comes with basic amenities; so don’t worry should you leave your soap or shampoo at home. Guests staying longer than a few days will be pleased to know that a washing machine and a dryer are available. The rear courtyard is large and private with the wonderful backdrop of St Mark’s Church – a perfect spot for having your morning cup of coffee. There is also a BBQ and a pizza oven which guests are welcome to make use of. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire property Other things to note Please take care with toilets and never flush anything other than toilet paper. When opening the dishwasher, hold on to it until the door is fully down. Because the door is heavy you can break the dishwasher if you don’t guide it down to it’s fully open position. If you drop it and allow it to bounce open it will prevent the door from making a secure connection once closed. If the connection is not secure the cycle will not run.
