Having a car is the best way to discover the area. Don't miss out on visiting Lake Onslow, where you can enjoy breathtaking views and activities like fishing and boating in peaceful surroundings. Kawarau Gorge is famous for its dramatic scenery and the thrilling adventure of bungee jumping over the gorge. For everyday needs and a taste of local life, explore nearby towns such as Roxburgh, Cromwell, and Alexandra. These charming spots offer grocery stores, quaint shops, and eateries, This rustic countryside retreat is nestled on 5 hectares of wonderfully planted gardens at Benger Garden Cafe & Chalets, with panoramic views of Mt. Benger. A cozy 190 square-foot tiny home with a queen-sized bed up in the loft, a couch on the ground floor, and easy access to clean drinking water from the tap. Split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, a hand basin, and a gas-heated shower for hot showers. If you plan to spend your holiday homes NZ escape here, you can order food from a nearby café/restaurant and have it delivered to your tiny house (by prior arrangement with your host). IMPORTANT NOTE: If you're booking for a group, we also have a second tiny home, "Benger Garden 1," available with 24 hours' notice in advance. Guest access Guests will have access to the tiny home, the outside garden, and the laundry, which will need advance notice from the land host. On the other hand, guests have restricted access to the garden of the host's private property. Stay with us and enjoy Complimentary Breakfast every morning! Or choose from a continental selection, including cereal, fresh fruit, and yogurt. Breakfast is served in our café from 7:30 to 10:00 AM. Please inform host in advance. Other things to note - WiFi is available - All mobile phone networks have strong reception - Pets are allowed and welcome in our tiny home - No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed - No smoking is allowed inside the tiny home, except in designated areas - Pets should be kept on a leash at all times. - Please note that this is a PET-FRIENDLY property, and pet policies will be sent prior to arrival - We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge Pre-orders - Dinners are available by prior request and not later than 5 PM - Clutha Trail arrangement with the host for drop off and pick up is $20 - Breakfast options are available in our café. Last orders must be placed by 10 am. - Convenient laundry service can be arranged through the host for an additional cost. Important note: - Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban - For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests.
