Description

Beautiful and old restored farmhouse, ideal for stays with family and friends in a peaceful and wild setting. Very beautiful volumes, a kitchen with a workbench and stools, a large dining table in front of the fireplace, a cathedral living room with a bar and a stove. 4 bedrooms with double bed, a dormitory with 3 single beds (+ 1 extra bed) and two bathrooms and 2 toilets. A large garden, fruit trees adjoining a huge meadow at the back with horses. The space Below is a full description of the interior and exterior. Precaution for use: This house is an old and large farmhouse, with stone walls, so it is always a little dusty (especially the cathedral living room). Despite a recent cleaning, spiders can find a haven of peace here, as well as flies (many cows and horses in the area) that sometimes have to be picked up off the floor. (I hope one day the spiders and flies will self-regulate more.) So don't expect a spotless house. I prefer to write it here. It is a house that I find very pleasant to live in with a large capacity, a large dining table, a huge living room and enough to make a banquet for Gauls outside! Which means I live in this house regularly with my family. So although I'm a maniac, we may have forgotten to put away this or that thing. Also, I draw your attention to the fact that in winter it can be very cold, the solution: close the doors and wear big sweaters. What I can say, however, is that most of those who have stayed here come out happy and want to come back. Let's go: Indoor: On the ground floor: > A large room including a fully-equipped kitchen with a workbench as a central island and high stools (not bad for aperitifs). > A large oak table (for about 10 people) next to the fireplace. > A small lounge area > An entrance serving toilets and a bathroom (shower and bathtub). > A huge cathedral living room with a bar, a piano, a stove, a large sofa and armchairs, a video projector and a big sound amplifier… And a chandelier that slams (without any humility, because I restored it myself). Warning: In winter, given the large volume of this room, it takes a long time to heat. You will be next to the stove, which is the only source of heating in this room.) Note: Wood for the fireplace and stove will be available. But in return, I ask that you refill it (there is wood in the garden to pick up) 1st floor: > A large bedroom with a large king size double bed (200 x 200) (duvet 260 x 240) > One bedroom with a double bed (140 x 200) (duvet 240 x 220) > Separate bathroom (shower) and toilet 2nd floor: > A small bedroom with a double bed (140 x 200 cm) (duvet 240 x 220 cm) > A small bedroom with a queen size double bed (160 x 200 cm) (duvet 240 x 220 cm) > A dormitory that delights children (three single beds + hammocks for the more adventurous) (duvet 200x140). Wondering why I'm noting the dimensions of the duvets? It's for me, to remind me... > An extra single bed in the hallway. Exterior: > A large garden overlooking both sides of the house: swing, ping pong table, children's toys... > 2 redwood tables of 3.5 m each that can accommodate about twenty people or put the children aside on a table when you can't take it anymore. With atrocious plastic chairs (but bought second-hand). These tables are exposed to climatic hazards, they will be cleaned before use (hose and water bucket next to it) > A huge meadow with horses in which you can walk (or run). > A pond to the side, under restoration (to be monitored if you have children although the pond is quite far and not very easy to access.) Listen carefully, during the day you will hear the cows (and chainsaws), at night you will hear the owls. Here, there is no doubt, you are in the countryside. Guest access The entire place (except the cellar and workshop) Other things to note > The cleaning fee includes the supply of sheets and towels (please leave the house tidy and fairly clean): €160 > Be sure to put the grate in front of the fireplace and close the stove. Be vigilant. > Wood is available. But it will have to be replaced with the one under the eaves. > Be careful in winter, the house is hard to heat (especially in the cathedral living room). Bring sweaters! > If you move objects (armchairs, duvets...) please put them back in their place. > For those with young children, you have to be vigilant. The path to the house gives access to the road. You have to either close the gate or keep an eye on your children. Although it is a small road in a small town, you never know. Also, there is a pond that is being restored, so you have to watch out for this water point.
