Description
Experience the magic of country life in our lovingly restored barn, part of an 1887 farmhouse. Surrounded by a vast park, you’ll find open fields, a garden with deer, hares and countless birds. For a special adventure, spend the night in the charming garden house. The converted stable combines rustic charm with comfort – wake up to birdsong and relax under the starry sky. The space Our cozy country retreat comes with a quirky layout: the bathroom is downstairs, and the bedrooms are up a flight of stairs—so get ready for a few steps between dreams and showers! One of the bedrooms is reached via a shared hallway, adding to the farmhouse charm. The bathroom may show its age with a few marks and spots, but don’t worry—it’s sparkling clean and ready for use. Firewood is available, so you can enjoy a crackling fire on chilly evenings. Kick back with a big-screen TV, high-speed internet, and access to all your favorite streaming services. There’s also a washing machine on hand—perfect for longer stays or muddy countryside adventures. The kitchen has everything you need, from appliances to pots and pans, so bring your favorite recipes. Fresh bed linens and fluffy towels are included to make you feel right at home. Other things to note The surrounding area offers plenty of great spots to explore! Just a 10-minute drive away, Reinfeld has everything you need, including Famila, Lidl, Aldi, Penny, a charming bakery, and an ice cream parlour right in the center. For a relaxing outing, I highly recommend the scenic Reinfeld walk around Herrenteich Pond, or a visit to the nearby swimming center for a refreshing dip. For even more fun, head to the Poggensee bathing lake – a beautiful place to swim and unwind! About 15 minutes in the other direction is Bad Oldesloe, where you'll find a variety of shops and a cozy indoor swimming pool, perfect for a peaceful retreat. Don't miss the sauna here for a true moment of relaxation. Around 20 minutes away in Bad Segeberg, the famous Karl May Festival takes place – an unforgettable experience for all ages! Lübeck, the Queen of the Hanseatic League, is just 25 minutes away, offering a wealth of history at the Hanseatic Museum – a must-see! Skip the usual Niederegger marzipan and treat yourself to the exquisite delicacies from the smaller, more refined Mest Marzipan factory. The puppet theatre is also a delightful experience, especially for young visitors. When it comes to dining, be sure to check out Schabbelhaus and Wullenwever for some of the best food in town. If you're in the mood for a city adventure, Hamburg is just 45 minutes away and easily accessible by train from Bad Oldesloe. With an HVV ticket, you'll travel comfortably and effortlessly to this vibrant metropolis!
