Modern mountain apartment - pool, gym and ski bus

Modern mountain apartment in Geilo city center, overlooking the mountains and easy access to both skiing, trains and the city center. The apartment has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and access to pool and gym. A good choice for families, couples or friends who want a comfortable and convenient mountain vacation, all year round. The space The apartment is in the immediate vicinity of the Highland Lodge Hotel, and provides access to the hotel's facilities, including restaurant and bar. Swimming pool and sauna can be used for relaxation after an active day, and the hotel also has a gym and playroom for the little ones. The location is very central, with walking distance to trains and buses, shops, alpine slopes, cross-country ski trails, bike trails, golf course and hiking trails around the lake. There is a short distance to the high mountain and Hardangervidda National Park on both sides of Geilo city center. The apartment consists of: – Master bedroom with double bed (180 x 200 cm) – Bedroom 2 with bunk beds, space for two (three) people. Two adults in the lower bunk is possible, but may be cramped (120x200 cm lower bunk, 90x200 cm upper bunk) – Living room with modern sofa bed (140 x 200 cm) – Modern kitchen with stove, hob, fridge, freezer and dishwasher – Bathroom (main) with toilet, shower and towel dryer – Extra bathroom/toilet room with toilet, shower and towel dryer – Wardrobe in the hall/hallway – Dining area for 5 people (7 with extra chairs) in the living room with sofa group - Wide-screen TV with Norwegian and international channels as well as Chromecast for streaming your own content – Covered terrace overlooking the surrounding area, forest, mountains and ski slope The apartment also has: – Wireless fiber internet (100/100 Mbps) – Waterborne heating in all rooms (electric heating cables in the bathrooms) – Free outdoor parking space – Bed linens and towels are included unless otherwise agreed upon. Please note that bed linen and towels will be provided and placed on beds by the guests themselves upon arrival. There is a baby cot (travel bed) in the apartment. This one has tight but ventilated fabric walls. We do not offer duvets, pillows or bed linen for the travel bed – this must be brought by the guests. If you come by car, there is free shared parking at Highland Fjellandsby. It is also possible to charge an electric car (22 kW) for a fee. Guest access Guests have free access to Highland Lodge Hotel's indoor swimming pool, fitness room and children's playroom. Please note that Highland Lodge Hotel normally closes during the periods from after the autumn holiday to the start of the winter season (usually the last week of November), as well as after Easter until about the last week of June. Feel free to reach out if you're not sure about availability in your timeframe. During these periods, access to the pool and other facilities is via the ski storage at the hotel. Other things to note With the apartment as a starting point, everything is set for a car-free holiday. Many of our guests arrive by train from Oslo or Bergen. Walking time from Geilo Station to Highland Mountain Village is approximately 6–9 minutes. During the winter season, there is a free shuttle bus between the ski slopes in Geilo. The bus stop is located about 250 meters from the apartment (detailed directions will be provided). The apartment also has immediate access to cross-country ski trails. Geilo ski stadium with prepared slopes is only a few dozen rooftops away. From here it is also possible to go on longer trips. Many use the ski lift with cross-country skis up the mountain, go on a tour and take the lift or skis down again. If the high mountain tempts you, take the ski bus to Havsdalen and go cross-country skiing to Presholtseter under Hallingskarvet. In the summer season, Geilo offers mountain tours, cycling (including downhill for children and adults), rafting and fishing. As a national park village and gateway to Hallingskarvet National Park and Hardangervidda National Park (Geilo is located approx. 794 m above sea level), the area is an ideal starting point for mountain sports and nature experiences throughout the year. About being our guest: The apartment and apartment complex are best suited for families with children or adults who take into account neighbors and other guests. Guests are required to familiarize themselves with and respect the house rules before arrival. Pets are allowed, but it is the guest's responsibility to consider whether animals can stay in the apartment without bothering others. A service surcharge applies to guests with pets. This only covers extra normal cleaning. Pet owners are therefore expected to help remove dog hair, etc. before departure. Equipment is provided. Ordinary cleaning is included in the mandatory final cleaning. It is, however, Norwegian custom and tradition that guests clean up after themselves. Before departure, guests are expected to remove bed linen, do the dishes, remove garbage, and clean the fridge, oven and dishwasher. Cleaning staff vacuum and wash floors, wash and disinfect kitchens, bathrooms and other surfaces, as well as wash bedding and prepare for the next guests. Check-in is at 4 pm and check-out at 11:00. These times cannot be deviated from without explicit agreement. Cleaning staff arrive at 11:00 am. Late check-out is charged NOK 250 per commenced quarter of an hour after the agreed check-out time.
