Cosy oceanview guest room

If you're looking for budget accommodation with full amenities close to the Gladstone CBD, my guest room might be the right fit. I’ve opened up my guest room with the idea that it’s ideal for solo female travellers and young couples, and it’s a great spot to stop on roadtrips for a hot shower and some laundry. The space The room is a nice size with good storage with an in-built wardrobe. There are ocean views from the bedroom and you have access to the spacious deck which is a nice spot to watch birdlife at sunset. The house is in a central location within 10 minutes drive of anything you need, under 5 minutes to several nice cafes, or 25 minutes to the beach. There is safe and well lit street parking, on a quiet street with almost no foot traffic. It has all the amenities of a home with a Queen bed (although the bed head is covered in cat scratches - this is the reality of a real home!). There is also a kitchen with your own fridge shelf, washing machine and dryer, wifi, and deck with a view. There is no air conditioner in this room but there is a standing fan or heater depending on the season. (Please note: The oven is broken, so I've replaced it with an airfryer. The grill function is still working.) There is coffee and tea, extra pillows, linens and other basics like an iron and ironing board in the wardrobe. This is my real home, where I live and work, so I’ll be around and there will be signs of life in the house. You are welcome to hangout in the main living space. The bedroom is off the main living/dining space but is otherwise quiet backing into a nature strip, on a quiet street. You'll be the only user of the main bathroom which is spacious with a shower and spa tub. Guest access Please keep in mind, I live here! I will be moving around my house and using the kitchen, sometimes during the day. Cats will use their litter tray, I might run a laundry load, it’s an active home. Guests have access to the top floor of the house. There is a subfloor that is not part of our living space. You're able to be in the main living, dining and kitchen space and the deck or garden, but I ask you stay out of my bedroom and home office. During your stay I will not always be around but please message me for absolutely anything you need. Other things to note I live with two indoors-only cats so the house rule is you must close external doors behind you! All guests must be strict on keeping the doors closed at all times.
