Nestled in the cultural centre of Woolloongabba, this gorgeous heritage-listed home offers easy access to the Southbank entertainment precinct, Kangaroo Point Cliffs and Brisbane CBD. You'll be under a ten-minute stroll to The Gabba, Princess Theatre and Brisbane’s acclaimed restaurants. At home, stunning character-filled interiors highlight high ceilings, a spacious dedicated library/office and a full kitchen. Enjoy alfresco dining and BBQs on the back deck as you watch the sun set! The space Carininya is a heritage listed house with a contemporary eclectic decor and plenty of space. There are 3 bedrooms - one on the ground floor and two upstairs. One of the upstairs bedrooms has a double bed and one has two single beds. There is one bathroom, newly renovated, on the ground floor. The living room, fireplace and dining room are on the ground floor, as are the kitchen and the library/study. The house has many carpets, hence the no/pets and no-shoes house rule. We kindly ask that you respect these rules, thank you very much. The house has air conditioning/heating in all the rooms except for the kitchen. A washer cum dryer is located on the back deck for your use. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils and crockery and pantry essentials. At the back of the house is a garden, with beautiful old Bunya and Norfolk pine trees, a macadamia tree, a crepe myrtle tree and bamboo. A beautiful green oasis in the heart of the city! Please note that my husband and I sometimes stay in the locked-off bottom level of the house, which is essentially a standalone apartment with its own entrance at the back of the house, as we have family in Brisbane and visit occasionally. We are quiet people, no worries, and will respect your privacy. :) Guest access You can use the ground and upper floor of the house. The basement level is locked off and my husband and I sometimes stay there when we visit family. The garden is available to all to enjoy. Parking is available on the 3 streets adjacent to the house (Merton Road, Trinity Lane and Hawthorne Road), and you will get a digital parking permit which allows you to park for free on these 3 streets. Other things to note There is a Coles store close by, a 5-10min walk away. When you leave, we appreciate that you take out the trash and put them in the bins. Please also switch off all the lights, close the windows, lock up all the doors on the ground floor, and leave the keys in the lock box when you leave. Please do not leave the keys in the house and slam the door shut, as this will create access problems for our cleaners. Thank you!
