Our fully self-contained studio Guest House cabin is set close to our main residence, on a manicured equine property in Moonbi. A short 20min drive to the heart of Tamworth! Enjoy the mountain views from the verandah, if you're lucky the kangaroos may come down to join you. Whether you're visiting the Tamworth area, attending a sporting event, the AELEC with your horse or just passing though the Tamworth/New England region; our guest house is quiet, comfortable, peaceful & private. The space Spacious, manicured lawns with a mountain and bush outlook, our studio guest house is situated close to the main residence but still with a private feel. An easy 800m from the Highway, it's a great spot to stop over while travelling; watch the horses graze and occasionally the Kangaroo's and Deer pay us a visit. Bring your horses & enjoy our equine facilities; sand arena & ProCutter Mechanical Cow. If you're visiting Tamworth's AELEC & want to stay/train in a quiet location, we have safe, practical facilities and paddocks/stables available (charges/bookings apply) Guest access Our horses are not suitable for beginner riders, but are very happy to say hello and receive a pat from our visitors. Please just let us know if you would like to have a chat with one of our equine family. If you are keen to have a trail ride, there is a great business near by that offer horse rides through their farm. Please get in touch with them to book. If you're travelling with your own horses, we offer a range of equine facilities for hire ($25/night per horse), including a 40x40m sand arena, ProCutter Mechanical Cow, safe steel fenced paddocks and stables. Please get in touch to book these facilities. Other things to note What's near by: Moonbi offers a general store that serves takeaway food and basic groceries. Moonbi also has a very good Bottle Shop, Post Office and Service Station. Just a few kilometer's away, Kootingal offers a Pharmacy, IGA Supermarket, Butcher, Cafe, Bowling Club, and a great Hotel with a very popular restaurant. Bendemeer is a 10min drive and also offers a great Hotel and resturant overlooking the picturesque MacDonald River. The Bendemeer General Store is a quaint little Cafe serving great coffee and meals. Tamworth is just an easy 20min drive and offers everything that you could expect from a large regional center. Great places to eat, a lovely park with a walking track, cinema and several shopping centres. Montrose Guest House is the perfect base to explore the New England region, just an easy 1 hour drive to Armidale. Visit the renowned Apsley Falls and many other historic sites, stop in Uralla and browse the quaint little stores, enjoy breakfast or lunch at one of the cafes or pubs (we recommend the Top Pub in Uralla).
