40 minutes by car or a bike ride from Berlin, our small house (about 50 square meters) on the lake is waiting for you! Less than 20 meters to the sandy beach on the lake and in the middle of nature (750 sqm property)! Ideal starting point for bike tours through the Schorfheide, starting point for mushroom seekers and of course water enthusiasts! The water skiing facility in Ruhlsdorf (3.5 km), the climbing park and the wildlife park in the Schorfheide (16 km) or the boat rentals on the Finow Canal also offer variety. The space We had the house built in 2017 according to our ideas. We removed the bricks from the family farm (near Aschersleben) and used them for our “country loft” (designation by the architect). The result is a simple, individual house in nature. It has even received architectural awards: Nomination for the Brandenburg Building Culture Prize 2019 "Winner Special Mention" Fritz Höger Prize 2019 When the weather is nice, you can sit at the large table on the terrace or barbecue together. The property is also very close to nature and we are happy when we can observe birds and other animals. The town of Marienwerder is idyllically located between the Finow Canal, various lakes and forest areas. Marienwerder (about 1,700 inhabitants) is just a 5-minute walk from the cottage. There are restaurants, an ice cream parlor, a playground and a kiosk. Some of the shops are only open on weekends. If you want to arrive from Berlin without a car, you can take the bus from Bernau (S-Bahn connection) or take the Heidekrautbahn from Karow to Ruhlsdorf-Zerpenschleuse and then cover the last 5 km by bike. The house has 1 bed in the bedroom (2.00 m x 2.00 m), 1 bed in the alcove (1.40 m x 2.00 m) and a mattress on the gallery (1.00 m x 2.00 m). Since it could get a little crowded with more than 3 people for several days, we only rent to a maximum of 3 people according to the setting. If someone is interested in booking with 4 people, please contact us briefly. Other things to note Please do not wipe the oven/cooker wet/use it for drying the dishes, otherwise it will rust! Please put the red and white garden furniture in the house when you check out. Please switch off the coffee machine during long absences/departure!
