Yellow room at Franklins Bay

Enjoy the peace , tranquility , life enhancing sound of the sea at Franklin's Bay. Swim from the private pier twenty seconds walk from your front door. Enjoy watching the marine iguanas, sealions , blue footed boobies , mockingbirds, finches, lava lizards, great blue herons, lava gulls. A haven to rest , rejuvenate, paint, read , do yoga surrounded by the magical wildlife , sunrises, sunsets, cook, write or just enjoy being. The space There is air conditioning and a fan in the yellow room There is a double bed with single bunk bed above. You will love the large garden by the sea with marine iguanas, mockingbirds, yellow warblers , finches and lava lizards. There is often a sealion on our private pier and marine turtles swimming below.. There is a cafe overlooking the salt lake at the back of the property, one minute walk from the yellow room. The German Beach is four minutes walk away. There is a kayak for your use and snorkelling masks. There is a library of english language books including books about Galapagos Guest access You can use the half acre size garden of opuntia cactus, acacia trees and sit by the sea either on the large terrace or the private pier. There is an outdoor eating area and barbeque which you are welcome to use. You can swim from our private pier. There is often a sealion on the pier. You can sunbathe, relax on the terrace . When you arrive Sarah meets you by the church at Puerto Ayora and takes you by water taxi to Franklin's Bay and shows you round. From The yellow room to go to Puerto Ayora you walk for 12 minutes along a rocky pathpath , cross the German Beach , along a path , then take the $1 water taxi to Puerto Ayora. Best to wear tennis shoes or trainers for walking . The journey to Puerto Ayora by walking and water taxi takes approx 20 minutes. The $1 water taxis run from 6 am to 11 pm. If you have heavy bags you can take the $5 water taxi from Puerto Ayora to our private pier . The $5 water taxis run from 6 am to 6 pm Other things to note There is airconditioning and starlink wifi. You can buy suncream ,groceries at the Pro Insular supermarket near the Parque San Francisco in Puerto Ayora where you take the water taxi to Franklins Bay. There is a cafe open 730 am to 530 pm. one minute walk from the yellow room. The Point restaurant is 12 minutes walk away open every evening except Monday. In Puerto Ayora there are dozens of cafes, bars , restuarants and shops. If you do not like lizards, iguanas , geckos, spiders please do not come .
