A beautifully renovated grade II listed 2 bedroom cottage (1 bedroom is not for use) set back from the central streets of Oundle providing easy accessibility to the village/town but hidden away to exude a calm, peaceful setting. Superb location to visit for a weekend without a car if you wish. There are various local, quirky shops, a number of places to eat and get coffee/cake including cream tea at the historic Talbot Hotel. The local pub is a joy and serves great pub food and is close by. The space The property has a private enclosed courtyard hidden behind a locked gate with outside table and chairs and wood store. Inside the property there is a well appointed kitchen with hob, oven, dishwasher, washing machine and Smeg Fridge and a good sized worktop. From the kitchen you move into the lounge which is a good size for a small cottage. There is a 4 seater large sofa, two extra arm chairs, a TV and a decent sized coffee table that can also be used for occasional eating. This room also has an open working fire. Ceilings are low, as would be expected in a 1600s listed cottage which adds to the charm of your stay here. There is a quaint wooden staircase (listed) leading to upstairs where you find two bedrooms and a bathroom. The bedroom in use (the other is not in use for sleeping in) has a king sized, very comfortable bed, with quaint cottage window looking out to the courtyard, mirror and shelf for dressing, and a wardrobe with shelving for hanging and storing clothes. The bathroom is newly installed and features a roll top bath, toilet, douche spray and sink. There is also a separate shower cubicle with powerful electric shower. A good sized velux window allows a view out to the famous St Peter’s. Church spire which adds to your bathroom experience .
