Our house is an old farmhouse of about 160 m2 located in the heart of the Brionnais country (southern Burgundy) that we have just had renovated, with all modern comforts. Located in the countryside, without being isolated, it will appeal to lovers of calm and greenery. The brightness, the noble materials, the sober decoration, the large heated pool and the surrounding landscape give the place a real character. For lovers of beautiful stones, looking for space, beauty and calm. The space Our house, with an area of approximately 160 m2, includes on the ground floor: - a large entrance (28m2) with library and sofa; -SelfSelf and an independent toilet. - a beautiful living space (58 m2 and 3.5 m high under the ceiling) including living room, dining room and fitted kitchen; this main room is opened by 2 large bay windows, one overlooking an inner courtyard facing East, the other overlooking a small wooden terrace facing West from where you can admire magnificent sunsets. - a bedroom (20.5 m2) with a double bed: 180 x 200 and an adjoining bathroom with toilet. Upstairs: - 1 x x shower room - 1 large bedroom with 1 double bed (180 x 200) - 1 big room with 1 double bed (160 x 200) - 1 small room with 1 single bed (90 x 200) - 1 office - 1 independent WC The thickness of the old walls ensures appreciable freshness in summer, and the wood stove is a warmth during the cool evenings of spring and fall. Sheets and towels are provided. Bath towels for the pool are to be brought. The farm is located on a 3500 m2 plot with no neighbors opposite and offers different spaces: East courtyard surrounded by walls, West terrace equipped with an outdoor table, a plancha area and a barbecue dug into the ground, large wooden terrace facing South around the pool, large meadow of 3000 m2 with a pond, without any neighbors opposite. The private pool, built in 2023, measures 3.5m x 11m; it is equipped with an electric roller shutter ensuring optimal safety, and can be heated according to the period and ambient temperature (usually from June to the end of September). Sunbathing on the wooden deck allows total relaxation facing the countryside. The house is equipped with WiFi (high speed fiber); on the TV you have access to Canal +. For book lovers, a large library is available for your use. The house is located 2.3 km from the center of the village of St Christophe-en-Brionnais (renowned for its cattle fair), where there is a butcher, a supermarket, two restaurants, a pharmacy and a cash dispenser. La Clayette and Chauffailles are 10km, and Paray-le-Monial are 21km. The surroundings are rich in discoveries: Paray le monial, the Canal de Digoin bridge and its banks of the Loire, the castle of La Clayette, the villages of Brionais and the circuit of Romanes churches. Less than an hour's drive: Cluny, Moulins, Chalons sur Saône, Mâcon, etc. The capital of Gaul, Lyon, is 1h30 away. Little restaurants or beautiful food tables are not lacking around. For younger children, and not so young, the beautiful animal and attraction park of the Pal is 1h drive (75 km). Sports and leisure nearby: hiking and biking out of the house, horseback riding, hiking with a donkey, cinema 10 km away, etc. We provide 2 bikes for adults. Guest access The house is located in a small hamlet 2.5 km from the center of St Christophe en Brionnais and 3 km from the village of Vauban. A car is therefore necessary.
