This new, loft-style apartment is elegantly appointed with tasteful furniture, fine art, and sculpture. There are sunset views, partial city, and full mountain views from the garden. The property, though conveniently located, is extremely quiet and secure with 24/7 guards. There are two, large flatscreen, smart TVs and 300 Mbps wifi. The bedroom LG TV has a full internet browser. Air conditioning keeps you cool throughout, though rarely necessary in Escazu! Digital Nomads/longer stays welcome! This very private, loft apartment is bright with large windows, Airconditioning, ceiling fans and near-infinite lighting combinations (table lamps, wall-washer lighting, and hanging pendant lamps). Heated, remote-controlled bidet toilet. There is a small balcony to enjoy the fresh air and sunset views. The passageway separating the loft from the main house has sculpture and interesting plants and toward the east, you can see the lights of San Jose. Open the wrought-iron gate and feel free to wander the exotic garden and enjoy the mountain views. You can walk to a convenience store (Fresh Market) about three blocks away. There is a very large and complete fruit and vegetable store at five blocks and an international level super market (AutoMercado) eight blocks down the hill. Within that same distance are banks and a variety of restaurants from International to local cuisine. I am a retired U.S. citizen who has lived in Costa Rica for 30+ years and am happy to advise about travel destinations, local malls, theaters or anything you may need. My wife is a Costa Rican artist with an atelier in a separate building on the property. We are both happy to facilitate anything you might require or give you total privacy. We are centrally located near old San Miguel de Escazu, with malls, grocery stores, restaurants, and even an IMAX theatre nearby. Our compound is situated on top of the last hill of the Cerros de Escazu with the Central Valley on the north side and magnificent mountain views to the south. There are only 4 estates on this street and our humble abode is diagonal from the residence of the Ambassador from the United Arab Emirates. I would venture to say there is no safer street in all of Costa Rica. Plenty of secure, on-street parking too! There is a bus stop at the bottom of our hill. You can walk to a convenience store (300 meters) and even a full, modern supermarket within about 8 blocks. There are beautiful and interesting trails to hike if you are interested in nature walks or touring the old town. The loft apartment has its own entrance and in a separate building from the main house. This makes it extremely private. If desired, you are welcome to use the patio of the main residence plus extensive garden with full mountain views. Your host lives on the property and is happy to assist with any needs or requests from extra ice to a tour of the pueblo or even a mountain hike.
