This small traditional stone Cevennes house is located in the heart of the hamlet. Initially, the accommodation, located in the Cévennes National Park, has been restored simply in a low-tech spirit to accommodate family and friends. The Cevennes valleys and chestnut forests are an ideal refuge for a period of return to nature and simplicity, calm and disconnection. This is a great base to explore the area: hiking or biking. The space Access to the ground floor is via the private terrace. This level includes the bedroom, the bathroom partially dug into the rock and access to the very bright floor where you find the living room and kitchen. From the entrance terrace with garden table and chairs under the large parasol, you have access to the small "solarium" garden, its palaver tree with its well-shaded circular stone bench. From the home and outdoor spaces, you have a breathtaking view of the valley and the landscape. The swimming pool with spring water and its terrace, with sun loungers, are located downstairs. Once in the water, you feel like you're swimming on the treetops and enjoying the forest landscape. The Cévennes National Park has recognized the accommodation by marking it "Esprit Parc" and "Réserve Internationale de Ciel Etoilé" because it is in line with the values of protected natural areas (preservation of natural and cultural heritage, transmission of knowledge and public awareness). Guest access You have access to the whole place, its adjoining terrace and its palaver tree. In addition, you can enjoy the small "solarium" garden, a more collective space and ideal for observing the beautiful starry skies. The accommodation is supplied with untreated and ultra-soft spring water. For drinking water, there is a water fountain in the kitchen with a self-sterilizing ceramic filter. Water is precious and it is important to preserve it and use it sparingly so that the whole hamlet can benefit from it throughout the season. In the event of a decrease in the flow of the springs, the daily availability of water may be limited. That's why, in addition to the flushing toilet in the bathroom, you have access to a private dry toilet outside the accommodation. To conserve water resources, sheets, towels, linens, etc. are not provided. From mid-June to mid-September, the swimming pool (12.5 m x 4 m, small and large depths) is supplied with unheated spring water. For ecological reasons, we make sure to treat the minimum in order to keep all the softness of the water. Access hours are specified in the welcome guide. In the mid-season, a wood-burning stove heats the living room and the kitchen. Extra electric heaters are available for the bedroom and bathroom. In the accommodation, the amenities are simple and functional, designed with respect for the unique environment of the Cévennes. On site, you will enjoy a real disconnection. Mobile phone and mobile internet networks are not very available in the house but can be picked up outdoors. The house is located in an International Starry Sky Reserve and is a "starry sky" partner candidate. This implies little or no outdoor lighting in the hamlets of the region. However, the terrace adjoining the accommodation has outdoor lighting. For your comfort, your flashlights or headlamps will be useful for walking outside at night. Upon reservation, it is possible to request meals prepared by us with products from the garden (vegetables, goat cheese, eggs) and vegetarian.
