L'étable du Vercors - 3-star gîte

In the heart of the Vercors Regional Natural Park, in a small hamlet 750 m above sea level, 3 km from the village, this former stable has been completely renovated by us, with a lot of heart and soul! Located on the ground floor of our house, the vacation rental is completely independent and can accommodate up to 6 people in a rustic, cocooning and cozy setting. Atypical and unusual accommodation! The space The cottage layout is designed around 2 complementary spaces: a day area and a night area. A large living room welcomes you upon arrival. It consists of a sitting area, dining area and kitchen area. The pellet stove heats the entire room and its beautiful flame will provide you with warmth, soothing and well-being in the heart of winter. The night area consists of: - a "master" bedroom, with a double bed (140). The master bathroom, and its walk-in shower, is adjacent to the bedroom. - a bunk bed and fitted with 2 double beds (140) for the comfort of young and old alike. A toilet (sink + toilet) completes this space. Our garden is not attached, however it is 50 meters from the vacation rental, inside the hamlet, by the river La Vernaison: an ideal green setting to relax, surrounded by nature. Here, at the Étable du Vercors, we offer a setting perfectly suited to disconnecting and slowing down. It is in this spirit that you will find a library (with a varied background and works in English), magazines, guides, tourist information, games (for young and old), a radio, a Bluetooth speaker but no screen! This accommodation is non-smoking. For one night stays, we will ask you to bring your towels. Thank you in advance. Bring your SLIPPERS for extra comfort. Please note that there is 1 step to enter the cottage. After that, the accommodation is on one level. Guest access 2 hours 15 minutes from Lyon 1 hour 15 minutes from Grenoble and Valencia. La Chapelle-en-Vercors is a 7-minute drive and a 30-minute walk away, it's a bit like the Capital: a market on Thursdays (and Saturdays in summer), a butcher, a convenience store, bakeries, bars, restaurants, a swimming pool, and health services (doctors and pharmacy). To the north, leaving the Gorges de la Bourne, Villard de Lans is 35 minutes away: the Vercors of Isère opens its arms to you, a huge playground and discoveries of all kinds, too. To the south, at the bottom of the Rousset pass, the Diois (Die region) is 45 minutes away, where you can find lavender and already Mediterranean airs. Other things to note You will find everything you need to be happy near the cottage: - The 4 seasons and their activities: hiking (some start from the cottage), picking, caving, canyoning, climbing, mountaineering, cycling, mountain biking, sledding, snowshoeing, skiing (the Font d'Urle and Herbouilly resorts are about twenty minutes from the cottage). - A unique territory - the Vercors Drome - with immense and wild spaces where Nature and History intertwine (Hauts-Plateaux du Vercors Nature Reserve, Resistance Memorial in Vassieux-en-Vercors). - The Hauts-Plateaux du Vercors National Nature Reserve, accessible from the commune of St-Agnan-en-Vercors (Coche parking lot), constitutes the heart of nature of the Vercors Park: no permanent dwelling or road crosses it. It is the largest terrestrial nature reserve in metropolitan France! - Underground passages and caves (La Luire, Choranche, etc.) - The know-how of local artisans and producers (cheese, trout, ravioli, beer, etc.). - Mythical roads carved into the side of cliffs such as Combe Laval. - The sky and the stars! And, you can write beautiful postcards to your loved ones about your stay in Vercors, at our home, and post it from the hamlet: the La Poste mailbox is on the front of our house!
