Cosy Hut, for 2 people

This unique place has a style of its own. Simple, cosy and calming. The house houses 2 people. The walls are wood panelled , and insulted with our own sheep's wool, keeps it lovely, warm and cosy. All on one level with everything you could ask for , for a cosy time away in the Peak District. Great for relaxing or walking/Sight seeing, this is the perfect ‘get away’ Wood stove is the main heating, radiator in kitchen / bedroom and bathroom. 1400ft above sea level The space The studio is all on one level, open plan. A wood burner heats the home, there's a lounge area, with tv and dvd player, double bed, and a dining room area, Separate shower room with toilet & wash basin, towels provided, hot water. Separate fully equipped kitchen with large fridge/freezer, gas oven and hob, toaster, cafetiere, fridge/ freezer, all pots and pans, cutlery and plates/ cups, kettle. Free view TV, dvds , free wifi. There’s a draw under the bed and cupboard space under the cabinet, in the lounge. Please switch lights off when you leave the property, especially as electricity is so expensive, keeps the costs down for everyone! Set in the heart of the Peak District on Burbage moor. The house caters for 2 people only. Sorry No Pets allowed. Private car parking available outside the house. A basket of wood, with kindling & fire lighters is provided on arrival, and during your stay.We will have the fire lit for your arrival ( in the colder months) There’s a radiator in the bathroom , bedroom and one in the kitchen. We are at 1400 ft above sea level. Cooler than city life ! But keep that fire lit 👍🏻 We are on our own water supply, tested by Sheffield Council. On arrival, I will leave you a small hamper with tea/coffee/ sugar, milk, and some of our eggs(if hens are laying !) We live onsite, if you ever need assistance/ fire lit etc. If you want a days outdoor activity’s this can be arranged. The hut is next to Our outdoor centre, so there is a chance of other guests, in the yard. Guest access Secure off road parking with security cameras. Guests park next to the house. Theres only you in the house. Other things to note The house accommodates 2 people only. Please don’t bring candles to burn. The main heating is the wood stove; the trick is to get the stove warm by opening the vents when lighting, then as it warms up, close the bottom vents, then The top ones, but don’t shut the top ones fully, keep these open maybe one or two turns. And make sure there’s plenty of wood on the fire . There’s a radiator in the bathroom and one in the kitchen. The kitchen rad can be over ridden/ moved if required Since the covid -19 outbreak, we are still taking extra precautions with our cleaning, before you arrive all areas will have been decontaminated to a high standard, for your safety and well being . Ideal for outdoor people, sight seeing, or just to get away from the mayhem, ideal for couple or friends. Please note: we are in the open countryside, with a high elevation, on top of the moors. The weather does have it own agenda sometimes ! 3 miles to the nearest village, 20mins drive to Sheffield. Local large supermarkets will deliver your groceries. We don’t charge a cleaning fee, so if you could leave the house as tidy as you can, that’s appreciated. The gates on the drive are closed in the evening, they arent locked, so you still can come and go as you please. The hut is next to our outdoor centre, there may be other visitors, around .
